Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took the dog for a walk around the park. You can do the parks run and many years ago there was a obstacle race around the park. Don't know if they still do. There is no real shade and Auckland on hot days makes it tough. Go under the bridge and the path stops, but mainly good paths with some rutted up with rain run off. Definitly could do with fixing up the toilet area. Looks very damaged, but the play park is great for children.

Wonderful 8 km long most of it fully illuminated. There Is a small section still under construcción. It has beautiful landcapes. You don't get bored. You can go biking or even on a wheelchair

Walk my dog every day at this park. They’ve just added lights along all the paths meaning we can walk him all year round rather than just during the summer months when it’s light. I love this park and go at least five times a week. I would like to have seen more colourful planting but it’s green and typically New Zealand.

Barry Curtis park is probably 25 minutes drive from Central Auckland. Easy to get to with the closest shopping area being Botany Town Shopping Centre. There's also a Buddhist temple just down the road (serves delicious vegetarian food).

The playground has a spider net, swings, a fort (where you can climb up high - not suitable for toddlers), toddlers play area with mini slides, and also lots of fort-like structures where older kids can play tag or hide and seek. There are also some sculptural pukekos and other musical sculptures dotted amongst the playground. If it's been raining, there are also 'jump puddle' holes that kids can play in - bring gum boots and a change of clothes. Our daughter loved these holes when she was younger!

Aside from the playground, there's massive grounds to explore - either by foot or on the bike. There's also some concrete for scootering with a skate park further down the road too.

Wonderful place to ride scooter or bike, or fly a kit. But please be safe on the super high play ground. Bit unsafe.!
Be great to see another play area on the other side , some picnic benches, water drinking station and more toilets
