Modern Shopping Arcade & Railway Station
My Uncle & I visited Auckland for the first time and we decided to take a train from the Auckland CBD to the suburb of Papatoetoe. We went to the Britomart Station, which is the main or central train station of Auckland, to catch our train. The staff were very helpful and explained the ticketing options and recommended that we bought a paper ticket because we were short term visitors to Auckland. We also discovered that the Britomart was a new and modern shopping arcade, with many branded goods outlets.

Good to discover Auckland and shopping centers around
A good alternative to Uber! The cost is much cheaper for two, trains leave on time and serve destinations near shopping centers. Lots of checks and this reassures passengers. Nothing to say otherwise a little more cleanliness would not be refusal, we had noticed slight bad smells, nothing unbearable either but good.

Perfect waterside design hotel with a personal touch.
What a warm welcome after 27 hours of travelling to NZ. Very nice room with view on the bay and in no time we got all the information needed for three days of Auckland. Excellent neighbourhood and very close to the ferrybuilding. We had an extraordinary diner at Kingi and shout out to the bartenders!

Went to AT customer service at Auckland Britomart to organise Gold AT HOP cards for my wife and I. Great customer service, the young lady couldn’t have been more obliging and helpful in sorting the HOP cards out. Well done Auckland Transport, specially the cheery young lady who is a great ambassador for them.

The hotel is amazing, yes. But the staff! So attentive, and genuinely finds joy in helping their guests make the most out of each and every stay. The surrounding areas are also to die for, making it a dream destination. Ciaran and his team are pretty unmatched when it comes to the levels of hospitality they are capable of reaching. Hard to find in 2023! Nehan, and Milano are also irreplaceable. The guest services and concierges do not go unnoticed here, because they’ll help without even being asked. Total dream team! Thank you all so much for everything you do!

Pretty cool hotel with an emphasis on sustainability. The only problem I had really was that the rooms were a little small. Seemed that there was not a lot of space to set out our luggage. The location was great and everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I would stay there again

The rooms are extremely small. I mean small. They are around 16sqm considering it has been described as 22 sqm ( this includes the toilet, nathroom and the wardrobe) . Very misleading.
I highlightthis to the staff particularly I am clostrophobic and didn't help.
I was told the only option was to have the suit at $2500.
The lifts are bearly functional, the hallways are very dark, everything is white washed in brown paint.
I had to forfeit my payment and book to an alternative hotel.
Extremely unhelpful.
This hotel is over rated. There are many other hotels as we did find

At the present moment, Britomart Precinct looks like a bomb site. There is a huge amount of construction going on. It is quite off-putting. The trains leave from the station below street level. I am a bit put off by construction Which has some years to complete. Allow till mid-2021 before visiting the tiles in the square might be finished. The Americas Cup Base is my preference at Wynyard Quarter.

Great easy to use experience. The helpful & friendly staff from the security guards, information team at the trains & the friendly message from the train manager all made for a great Britomart experience. Cool building too- both inside and out.

Green line gets you to where you need to be. Lift for buggy and luggage. Lovely staff. Clean and civilized for transit. Bravo Auckland, a real feat of human transport ala construction a mess outside your doorstep.

Visited the station a couple of times. First on our way to Mt. smart stadium. Couldn’t believe that the trains were free when a ticket to the concert was shown. Trains are fast and comfy, the two times we travelled. Excellent system and a nice big station.

I used to love leaving gear, in the lockers for the day, under the escalator on the lower ground floor of the Auckland Britomart Railway Station. So handy, central, safe. Now they've been moved to what feels like kilometres away to the far end of the station in most difficult place to find and get to. You actually have to beg to get onto a platform without a ticket, then trundle a very long way to a lift or escalator, then to a deserted sparse area that looks rarely visited. In the end, I wasn't too sure about my safety coming back to retrieve my stuff later on - I would have been scared - so I retraced my steps and left Britomart. I had to explain again to the platform guy why I didn't have a ticket to exit the platform. Take your bags to the ferry information kiosk over the road (just through the main ferry building entrance). The actual Britomart station has a nice cafe and a few small shops. It's a pleasant train ride out to Sylvia Park shopping mall. The outside of the building was originally the old General Post Office, very impressive architecture, the inside is modern and, again, very good architecture. My two star review is based solely on my storage locker problem. It's little things like this, on my last day in Auckland, hat sour a whole city for me.
