Central, obviously since it's the train station, but there are some great little restaurants in the surrounding area. Definitely somewhere to wander around when looking for a bite to eat.

Once I had discovered Britomart, I came here at least once or twice a day. Transit hub, hip stores and restaurants, fun crowds. A terrific respite that downtown Auckland has become since it succumbed to runaway development.

It‘s a great place. Passed by with the Auckland Explorer Hop-on/ Hop- off city tour bus. Also was not too far from my hotel.

Fun place to head to in the evening for a bite to eat. Lots of great restaurants to choose from. During the day a walk around slows you to explore some local designers.

Britomart is Central Auckland's transport hub for trains and buses, and nearby, the ferries. At the moment the area is a mess because of the CityLink project. Useful starting point to find transport around Auckland.

This is a transit hub of Auckland. All the major railways pass this station. It is close to the ferry terminal, and a lot of buses either depart from here or head to here.
