Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The reception lady was super rude to me on my visit. I was enquiring about a swim class and I was super keen to do it but she replied to me in a very disrespectful manner and seemed very uninterested in my business. I had some questions about the pricing because I wasn’t sure how that worked. She told me one price originally, but when I asked her subsequent questions about the price, she quickly told me she would now charge me a new, higher price because I questioned her. Never have I felt so belittled in my life. Seems like a good facility but might need some new staffing as she may drive potential customers away if she continues to act in this unfriendly manner.

The main pool is nice to swim, although it was quite crowded when I went (a Friday). There is a small hot pool, a dry and a humid hot spa (both quite small too), and a kids' pool. The changing facilities were not really clean, and there are no cabins to go to when you need to change. You also need a padlock (which they don't tell you on the website), and for middle-European standards those changing areas are all quite filthy. If you want to go for a swim only it's OK I guess, but if you are after a more relaxing experience, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Had a complementary visit to Tepid Baths as part of a stay at The Sebel opposite! Good facilities to hone your wellbeing in the physical and relaxing aspects! A fully equiped gym, heated lad pool lanes for speeds from fast to slow, plus Aqua jogging. A separate pool for the kids. Sauna and spa too! Changing rooms with showers and lockers, bring your own padlock or hire one from reception for $3, a little old, with everything you want. Stop and have a coffee at the cafe too post work out! Closes early on public holidays so watch out!

Been by the place many times but it took lessons and free swim for grandchildren to get this old geezer in the pool. There are multiple lanes for adults of all levels plus many programs for beginner on up offered at very reasonable rates. The instructor, Amanda, got swimming cap and goggles on my resistant under 5 granddaughter with no fuss and her brother frolicked as well. It may get crowded but there are quiet times as well. Sauna, steam room and hot tub also right there. Brief walk from Customs Street, accessible by bus as well as car. Check it out.

A convenient alternative when you don't have access to a gym or pool.
The casual daily entry fee is on the high side at NZD17.50 not sure if they offer discounts for multi-visits and/or concession
Gym is well equipped with ample cardio and weights. Not crowded even at peak hours.
Have access to lockers, approach the staff for a padlock.

I went about 1030 on a week day. It was not too crowded to swim laps and not feel stressed. The bathroom was clean and I like the glass roof letting in natural light. There was a nice shallow pool that was full of parents taking preschoolers for a paddle. That looked like a great option if you are staying with youngsters in the CBD. Interesting posters on the wall explaining the history of the Baths.Only downside for me was the incredibly disinterested woman on the front desk who took about a minute to look up from her screen and acknowledge me, and then looked terribly put out when I asked the price to swim.

Beautiful central city location with various pools / swimming options from infants to teens and adults.
We brought our babies here for a swim and they loved the warm pool and spent ages building up their confidence and going deeper with them all while having fun and laughing away.
Large bathroom facilities and many changing rooms add to the ease of bringing a family out for the day.
There were a few lifeguards keeping an eye out which is reassuring.

Hi. Do the Tepid Baths have an aqua jogging lane or can you aqua jog in another lane?
