St. Matthew in the City is a big beautiful stone church with great stained glass. You don't need a lot of time to see it, and it's easy to reach. We really enjoyed our visit.

St Matthew-in-the-City. Christmas morning. The pews where filled with an engaged and enthusiastic congregation; a welcome sight with a mix of locals and visitors. The Sung Eucharist service was unforgettable, led by inspiring spiritual leaders, and the most glorious small choir. There were no concealed...More

If you happen to be up in the area of such and such streets, a peek inside this cool church is worth the time. Although the interior seemed a little bit drab in my opinion with all the stone, the stained glass windows are magnificent...More

This is an unusual but awesome spot for private functions. The church can be set up for a variety of events. On this particular evening it was used as a fundraiser event to raise money for a Nepalese school.

Nice place to visit and gain some quiet time in the city - this is an old part of the city and easy to find because it's just along the road from Sky Tower.

Beautiful gothic church, relevant sermon if you attend and if you like church music, wonderful interspersions by professional singers and the organist is also wonderfully accomplished. The venue is used for concerts. There is adjacent paid parking during business hours.

Amazing cathedral, beautiful services and the Monsignors are so welcoming. Worth a visit, just arrive early if you are heading to the service, if not you won't get a seat.
