Sheep World was a delightful afternoon visiting the friendly, cute animals. Even when it was pouring rain, the hosts were helpful and we got to bottle feed baby sheep. Be sure and ask about the Huntaway dog!! I had never heard of such and he is really cute. Lunch was good, even vegetarian options for my granddaughter. Small but nice gift shop with quality items...I have a very cute winter hat with a sheep on it from there and my granddaughter bought family gifts. Enjoy, worth the drive.

It was a rainy day so everyone else on the tour canceled but me. Instead of canceling the the entire tour for the day they still did the tour with only myself. The farm was great with very friendly animals and people. The winery was beautiful even on a rainy day. I had a lot of one on one time with the tour guide who was very friendly and gave me a lot of advice on where to visit on my trip to Auckland and Wellington. Definitely recommend this tour!

My husband and I took this amazing tour with Peter as our tour guide. This is the very best tour I have ever been on. Peter was amazing with all the information he gave us as we were exploring the city and country side around Auckland. Sheep World was so interesting and the lady who shore the sheep was really wonderful at her job. She explained the process as she sheared the sheep. She also let us ask questions and interacted with the audience. It was great and feeding the animals was really fun. Peter also took us to Honey Centre and we saw the bees in a wall that was their comb. Their honey is double sealed so we could buy it and take it on the plane. It was very interesting. Peter took us to lunch and it was very delicious. He took us to places that I'm sure a lot of guides wouldn't have. He is a very kind man and his manners are implacable. It was a delightful day and touring the city was very interesting also. I can't say enough about how well were treated and respected. If you want an exciting, relaxing tour this is the one for you. I would have given this tour a ten if there had been a score that high. I met a man from Los Angeles in Sydney and he was traveling to Auckland next. I suggested that he take this tour and I hope he did.

We took a delightful tour with guide Peter. It was a lovely drive through countryside North and West of Auckland plenty of delightful stops. The sheep farm show was very interesting and the children present were mesmerised by the display, very unusual these days. Peter organised a great lunch after a power cut affected our original plan.

My dad & I had a private tour with Peter. We visited a beautiful beach spot, the honey center, and Sheepworld. We got to sample local honey and alcohol products using honey, and we ate a very good lunch at Sheepworld. We also stopped to see an 900-year-old massive Kauri tree. On the way back into Auckland, Peter insisted we had to try two Kiwi favorites - hokey pokey ice cream and Goody Goody gum drop ice cream. I strongly recommend the hokey pokey ice cream.
It was great to chat with him about his life and living in New Zealand. I’m happy we got out of the city center to also get to see where people actually live. Plus, I am a huge animal lover, so getting to see the sheep and cows and alpacas and pigs and emu was a delight.
We came in via cruise and decided the shore excursions offered by the cruise line sounded boring. I’m glad we got to have a small personal experience with a really great guy.
I highly recommend taking any tour with Coast to Coast, especially with Peter!

A fantastic day tour. Went to Honeycentre, SheepWorld and some other sites along the way. Peter is amazing guide who is friendly and gives lots of information during the tour. Watching and feeding the animals in Sheep World was quite an experience. Highly recommended tour !

Peter customized this tour for us by picking us up at the airport upon our arrival. Peter demonstrated extreme flexibility when our flight departed and arrived late. We communicated via WhatsApp prior to our departure and he simply had us text him when we arrived.
Peter knows the area and offers many insights. We had a wonderful experience meeting real people in an agrarian setting. Definitely will contact Peter at Coast to Coast Tours again if we return to Auckland.

My wife and I were picked up at the cruise terminal by PJ and given an excellent private tour of the Auckland area including the Fernery, Soljans Estate for lunch and wine tasting, and along the beautiful coastline and the Gannet sanctuary before dropping us at the airport for our flight home. PJ was personable and knowledgeable and provided us with an excellent day in Auckland.

Enjoyed the demonstration. Loved feeding the lamb their bottle! John and his dogs add a little humor to the demo. Plus there are many other animals you can feed.
Had lunch there at cafe, was delicious. Don’t forget you can also add the gift shop to your trip.

We wanted an activity to keep us up and going following 15 hours on a plane and arriving in Auckland at 5:00am in the morning. Driver was late to pick us up at 9am, and then came in a van too small for the group. Her "plan" was to squeeze everyone in somehow, and then swap out the van for a larger vehicle somewhere along our tour route. The scheduled afternoon wine tasting was swapped to 10am due to this change in route. Finally arrived at Sheep World and DID enjoy the herding and shearing demonstration. We were then taken to another winery for a tasting, only to discover the winery was closed. My recommendation would be to hire a cab or driver and do Sheep World on your own.

Thank you for your insightful review. We will endeavour never to make an honest mistake like this again. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused, one bad review out of 300 is never good. However there are just a few points we have to mention after your tour that day which I need say. Firstly all our tours start at 9am, our driver arrived there at 8:55. Secondly, after you mentioned all that went bad on the day you some how forgot to mention the driver/ guide going “The extra mile” by purchasing each member of your group a bottle of wine by a world renowned wine maker with compliments of Coast To Coast Tours and giving you a top notch lunch at an upmarket café, as opposed to a sandwich and a beverage. I could elaborate about the other stops you forgot to mention but this would be in bad taste as we pride ourselves in being professional. We are deeply saddened by this review but we will take the critique seriously and strive to improve our service.

Tripadvisor **used** to forward such questions onto listing owners...this seemingly does not happen anymore, (as I have not received anything from them, so hence why I have not discovered your inquiry...sorry about that, I normally like to respond to any form of inquiry asap :/). To boot, yes, our website had a glitch...Murphy's Law - all at the same time :/ :/
Unfortunately we are now closed for our winter break (but got a couple of tours still to do in MAY...which won't help you!).
As we are in the midst of a major construction project on our farm *now*, we still would not be able to do a tour for you either! This, unfortunately, is all part of being a small owner/operator and running a working farm as-well-as running a tour company.
Trust you understand, and that you have a wonderful time in Auckland just the same.
Thanks also to everyone who has answered these folk and put in a good word for us. (but sorry Pat S, that price you quoted is $500NZ for TWO persons).

We can answer your query if you can tell us the date please? We pick-up directly from the ports and all inner Auckland city accommodations.
There are many many cruise boats due to visit Auckland over the next few months and our tour is timed to suit individual requests. If your ship sails early, then generally pick-up will be earlier.
As a small & personalised owner/operated company, we can only run one tour per day, and if this is booked "privately" then we cannot take any others.
Our tours get booked out due to the unique itinerary, so we always advise people to book early to avoid disappointment.
Our tours run by confirmed bookings only.

The Celebrity Solstice docks at 6 AM in Auckland on December 16th. My wife wants to see a sheep farm and I want to see the city sites. I think one of your tours offers some of each. Can you pick us up at the dock and drop us at the Crowne Plaza Auckland after the tour? What does the tour cover? How long does it last? How many people on each tour? What's the price of the tour?

I'm trying to read all these reviews to answer 1 simple question - is this truly an all inclusive resort that includes ALL alcohol? I am reading snipits that indicate it includes draft beers (and only a few kinds), some wine but not all, etc. When you hear the term "All Inclusive" it typically refers to not only food but also all alcohol. Can someone confirm what exactly is included in their alcohol package and what gets paid out of pocket? Thanks!

Are you referring to our company; Coast to Coast Tours which visits our private sheep farm?
...If so, we are a one day *tour* company.
Our tour is all-inclusive, with lunch (with wine/beer), afternoon tea inside our historic Homestead (I am Food Handling Certified), plus all entry fees and wine-tasting is included. There are no hidden or extra costs on our **tour**.
