The i-SITE in the centre of Auckland does look quite poor compared to others we have seen throughout NZ. One portacabin just has leaflets and brochures, which was all we needed and the other is manned but did seem to be very busy. Such a shame that a major city has a poor information centre.

Hi Steve, many thanks for your feedback. The i-SITE moved into two temporary portacoms located in close proximity to Auckland's cruise ship terminal, public transport, shopping and food precincts in December 2016 as a result of the central city lease expiring. The two fitted out portacoms have been arranged so that one is designated specifically to help customers with bookings... More

Surely there is a better way to give visitors information on the Auckland area. We were really disappointed at the information centre. The cubicle that is used for answer questions and sell tickets is very small and cramped and only 3 employees to help visitors. I understand this is a temporary setup but it is not adequate for a city... More

While in Auckland for a few days last week we called into the information centre a couple of times looking for assistance. We had to line up outside these two portable huts for quite a long time as the place is so busy especially when a cruise ship is in . The staff were very polite and helpfull and we... More

The site is situated in a couple of huts at present due to building work. This has npt detracted from the rfficiency of the staffwho wete very friendly and helpful. One trip I wished to partake in was fully booked and they quickly found me an alternative

I'm a pretty low key traveler. The website said to stop at Isite and they'll help you. So when one of the DOC campsites websites didn't work I figured I'd stop here. They sent me on a 20 minute goose chase to some store to try to get a camp site booking. When I returned to say that store did... More

Plenty of things to do and very nice staff. We asked plenty of questions and were pleasantly answered by the extremely helpful staff. Plenty of brochures and information to take in.

Asking information where I could get tickets from for a certain event the lady behind the counter did not even bother looking up for me where to go. It was a person who overheard my question that helped me.

My friends and I stopped here to pick up some information guides during our day visit to Auckland. The centre was very busy with the cruise ship passengers so we didn't get to speak to staff, however I'd done some research beforehand and we were happy to pick up the general visitor guide. And well worth picking up too as... More
