Our sunset kayak trip to Rangitoto followed by a hike to the top, in the dark, and then kayak back over open ocean is not for the faint of heart. This adventure is Epic but grueling. Really. Not sure we were going to make it. Kayak out is about 7 km and took over two hours of hard paddling. Hard.... More

Apparently, only a few tours had gone this summer due to weather, but we got very lucky and had a beautiful evening for this amazing tour. Shae was so thorough, helpful, and knowledgeable guiding us through the shipping channel as we dodged ferries, launches and sailboats. The hike up Rangitoto through lush New Zealand foliage was rewarded with brilliant pink... More

We had lucked out on the weather on our trip, it took us about 2hrs each way, the way back at night was really special, it was very calm, warm and beautiful coming back towards the city lights. Shae even pointed out bio-illuminescence in the water which was very cool as our kayaks lit up the water. We felt well... More

I've never gone kayaking before and I was a little nervous, but Ben was so helpful in giving me tips and grabbing me a few photos, which turned out great! It's an awesome experience, I would recommend it to my friends and try it again. I just wish, they had ½ half rentals... But that's just me. Cheers! 😄

We took a group of teenagers (50) on the guided paddle to Rangitoto. The Ferg's crew handled the kids with ease. The weather was not our friend but they all had a fantastic time. The guides kept everyone safe and happy all day. Simon and his crew raced to pick up the stragglers that ended up at different beaches. amazing... More

Had the most amazing evening on rangitoto!! Gorgeous views and superb experience kayaking back in the dark. All made far more entertaining by both ella and Phil ...with some great stories including how Phil got a black eye from a sheep :) Great evening, could not recommend Fergs more highly!

I was trying to figure out the best way to explore the surrounding areas of Auckland without a car when I came across Fergs Kayaks, I adore the sea and I love to kayak so this seemed like the perfect solution, and I wasn't wrong! From the incredibly friendly and informed guides to the beautiful hidden views of Auckland, I... More

Me and hubby booked with Fergs for half day trip to North Head, Auckland. It was our first kayaking experience ever. We were under care of Ella and Phil, and they were amazing. We had concise briefing just before trip, also during the trip Ella was giving us advices how to improve our paddling. We made a stop at North... More
