The ferry building is in the Auckland Central Business District on the Auckland waterfront that you cannot miss. From the cruise ship we can see this elegant brown sandstone, brick and granite building with a clock tower clearly. After we disembarked, we spent time to explore this building. The lower level of the terminal was very busy, containing shops and cafes. After 100 years it is still looking its best to serve the locals and tourists. Happy Travelling! …

This is a nice looking historic building on the waterfront. There are plenty of tour offices, ferry ticketing and tourist information at or near the building. The gelato place was worth mentioning. We were there late Nov and there was road restrictions all over the place, due to a mass transit construction ( I think) and it was a mess. If you walk further down you will see some upscale restaurants worth visiting, right by the tourist info office.…

We enjoyed exploring the restaurants and boutiques in the building. Found some very good gelato to enjoy after dinner.
