This is a lovely old building that still functions as a ferry terminal ticketing area and offers restaurants and cafes. The regular ferries are off to one side and you can use the AT Hop Metro card for these. Excursion ferries depart from the other side of the building.

The Ferry Building on the water front is an iconic building and contains several restaurants and cafes overlooking the ferry terminal where you can book tickets. Plenty of seating to just sit and eat an ice-cream while watching the ferries come and go. There is a lot of road/building work by the front of the building at the moment, so not very photogenic from that side!

The ferry building is in the Auckland Central Business District on the Auckland waterfront that you cannot miss. From the cruise ship we can see this elegant brown sandstone, brick and granite
building with a clock tower clearly. After we disembarked, we spent time to explore this building. The lower level of the terminal was very busy, containing shops and cafes. After 100 years it is still looking its best to serve the locals and tourists.  Happy Travelling!

This is a nice looking historic building on the waterfront. There are plenty of tour offices, ferry ticketing and tourist information at or near the building. The gelato place was worth mentioning. We were there late Nov and there was road restrictions all over the place, due to a mass transit construction ( I think) and it was a mess. If you walk further down you will see some upscale restaurants worth visiting, right by the tourist info office.

We enjoyed exploring the restaurants and boutiques in the building. Found some very good gelato to enjoy after dinner.

Ferry Building, was still fully functional, but a little bit mass surrounded. Will be ok if you just take a view to the north.

The Ferry Terminal Building was opened in 1912 and constructed of sandstone and granite. It is now used for cafes and restaurants and the back-drop for the underground railway construction.

THe Ferry Building is quite old and very sweet - a cute counterpoint against the more aggressive Auckland CBD skyline. It's largely home to restaurants and entertainment areas these days, many of which open out to the water and ferry terminals and wharves, which are clearly marked and easy enough to negotiate. Worthy of not is that there is a clean public toilet on the Fuller Feries Wharf for Waiheke Island.

On what grounds? Well, it is clean, offers several options on hot/cold drinks, accessible rest rooms, some benches (if you arrive early or the ferry you are taking is not too busy), and has good signage so hard to get lost or confused.

My wife, friends and I walked to the Ferry Building on Quay Street. The Ferry Building is an interesting building and a good photo opportunity. The Ferry Building has a nice clock. The area near the Ferry Building is full of shops and restaurants.
