A great drive along the water out to St Heliers Bay is must. Such a cute area and well worth taking the time to head out there. We made our way out there just before sunset and took advantage of a quiet spot on the heads and got some amazing pictures of the sun setting behind the Auckland city skyline

I have a good friend inhabiting in St. Heliers and I passed 4 days at her home. We went swimming at St. Heliers Bay. The water was refreshing and very good once in the water. We walked on a small footpath along the bay. An- other place to enjoy a beach is the Mission Bay that follows St. Heliers Bay.

St Heliers Village is a peaceful place between 10 and 11 Km from the Auckland CBD and there are plenty of buses. Lots of lunch serving restaurants and 3 or 4 different sources of lunch-type foods to take and eat on the beach, under a Pohutukawa tree on the grass or on one of the many benches overlooking the beach....
