Volcanic peaks such as Maugawhau/ Mt Eden essential for short visit,as is museum, rest . Both harbours beautiful. A trip to Waiheke from downtown Auckland really good idea as you also Pass other islands of the gulf L .

I have a good friend inhabiting in St. Heliers and I passed 4 days at her home. We went swimming at St. Heliers Bay. The water was refreshing and very good once in the water. We walked on a small footpath along the bay. An- other place to enjoy a beach is the Mission Bay that follows St. Heliers Bay.

St Heliers Village is a peaceful place between 10 and 11 Km from the Auckland CBD and there are plenty of buses. Lots of lunch serving restaurants and 3 or 4 different sources of lunch-type foods to take and eat on the beach, under a Pohutukawa tree on the grass or on one of the many benches overlooking the beach.... A walk along Tamaki Drive starting or ending at St Helier's Bay is one of the must-do activities when in Auckland. The walkway is about 8km long and is sealed and level, with great views. At St Helier's Bay, there are a range of boutique shops and several good food outlets and coffee shops.

We started our trip to Auckland here and had a lovely walk along the seafront. It was a dull day but still nice to enjoy the views.

Nice sandy beach, views back over the city, but not a lot here, a few restaurants and ice cream shops, great if you love the sand

This is a lovely city beach, sand on one side of the road and a busy restaurant and bar scene on the other. You will also get great views of Rangitoto Island and the North Shore. From here it's 10km back along Tamaki Drive to the CBD
