A ferry trip takes you across to Tiri. Definitely only go on a good day as won't be much fun in the rain.

I'm not a huge bird fan. But, some of the birds on this island are beautiful. It is a great example that people can restore a habitat. The guided tour was great. They do allow you to explore the island alone.

Hi there, yes unfortunately in winter the ferry to Tiritiri island only runs Wednesday to Sunday. The only other way there is by private boat. As an alternative, you may enjoy a day trip to Rangitoto Island, which is the... More

The ferry comes to Tiritiri Matangi Wednesday to Sunday and charges $70 per adult and $40 per child from Auckland City and $55 per adult and $32 per child from Gulf Harbour return. You book with 360 Discovery. There is no... More
