The Hauraki Gulf is a coastal feature of the North Island of New Zealand. Sparkling blue waters with beautiful emerald Islands.

Matchless!
Jan 2020
We took a ferry across to Waiheke for the first time in absolute ages last January and were absolutely stunned once again with the beauty of the Hauraki Gulf. The natural surroundings here are peerless. Of course, we profited from a balmy summer's day with limpid blue seas with nary a cloud in the sky. However, each season presents its own special charm. The Gulf is a perennial attraction.

Great option for a holiday
Nov 2019
Amazing place to have a holiday. Lots to see and do. If you have you own boat there is lots of amazing places to see and explore. Good ferry services run from Auckland to access most places on regular time table which makes it easy to get around.

Great outings on the boat watching the world go by while relaxing on a boat. The senery is beautiful with Rangitoto Island and Tiri tiri Matangi in sight. Great way to spend a day out in the summer breeze crusing the Hauraki Gulf.

SIMPLY STUNNING

Many travellers just pass through Auckland or stay for a very short time on the way to maybee Queenstown or Rotorua ..but Auckland has so much to offer.
The Gullf and Harbour are the best in the world where you can visit Rangitoto Island VOLCANO (extinct) or Waiheke Wine island. Tour some of the citys 32 extinct volcanos ,Auckland War memorial museum,SKY tower (the tallest structure in the southern hempsphere). Take a seaplane or boat to an island (day trip) climb Mt Eden or Rangitoto. A fun city with often four seasons in one day.

On a clear day......
Sep 2019
JUst had two great crossings of the beautiful Hauraki Gulf in gorgeous sunny weather. Not so much fun if the weather is inclement, of course. But even of you're not particularlay going anywhere it's worth getting out on the water to enjoy the Auckland Skyline, views of the Harbour Bridge and all the islands dotted about..

One of the world's best
May 2019 • Family
It is one of the world's best, safest and most beautiful, harbours. The sight of a squadron of yachts leaning into the wind is most alluring.

A beautiful place to visit.
Jan 2019
Auckland city is situated on the Waitamata Harbour which is just one of the many beautiful sites in the Hauraki Gulf. There are many beautiful Islands to explore too. The nearest is Waiheki Island - just a short ferry ride from downtown Auckland. On the other side of the Gulf is the Coramandal Peninsula another fabulous place to explore.

Magical Seascape as far as the eye can see.
Apr 2019 • Friends
If you are lucky enough to own a yacht, launch, surf ski, windsurfer, even a rowboat there is a place for you on the waters of the Hauraki Gulf. Those who dont own any of the above Ferries ply those waters as far away as kawau Island in the North and Waiheke Island in the south, ther is a dolphin and whale watch safari available from Auckland's waterfront. A seaplane which can fly over the gulf to the sestination of your choice. Then there are a selection of beaches, Whanagparoa penninsular, Long Bay, Browns Bay Rothsay bay, Castor bay Milford Beach and takapuna beach on the North Shore and the lovely beaches of Kohimarama, Mission Bay and the many little bays south of Auckland to the Firth of thames. Always the islands of the gulf to explore Waiheke, Motuihe, Rangitoto the slumbering volcano, Rakino, Motuapa and the smaller islands popular for recreational fishing.
So many options all in the one place.
