On your way to or from the Auckland Museum, get a stroll or a long walk in on the Domain. It showcases the local plant life, and is laid out beautifully.

I've been to better city parks, but this one is fine. The winter garden is average and just a few minutes from the Auckland museum entrance. If you have time stop in, otherwise it's not a big deal to miss.
