Wonderfully maintained, clean, safe and attractive.

Toilets and parking available.

Lots of open space to explore, as well as the Gardens, the museum, the lake and the cafe.

Always a pleasure to return to walk around.

It was many years since I had been through this area and I found the memorial to our war dead very moving.

The green field was part of volcanic soil. It serves the garden as a beauty of aotearoa. Maori word for nz

The Domain area was formed by volcanic activity. The large crater has a small scoria cone in its centre. The rim of the crater offers panoramic views.

A really nice place to walk around, or to have a picnic on a blanket. It is right beside the Auckland War Memorial Museum, so a great place to make a whole day of it.

This place blooms especially this quarantine time. A very relaxing, peaceful, and nature at its finest at this time. Everything here is beautiful! You just walk slowly to communicate with nature. Breath slowly and internalise what a beautiful world we have!

Wow. We entered the Domain at the bottom via Lover's Lane this links into a series of trails leading up to the Winter Garden, War Memorial, War Memorial Museum etc. The walk up is through native and oak forests and the sound of the insects and birds is deafening - a great experience. Once at the top there is a café/restaurant. The War Memorial is a place of tranquillity and the views over Auckland and the islands beyond is stunning. A great place for a picnic or just a place to sit, relax and contemplate nature.

Excellent park - beautiful gardens and super impressive trees. We walked around this park our first day - so much to see - it helped keep us awake! The duck pond is cute, good signage and walking paths. We enjoyed seeing the University campus and we also visited the war memorial museum.

We visited this location and thoroughly enjoy it. There were several veterans there filming a documentary and they were most accommodating.
