this is a place worth a visit you can go on a tram and you can try alot of interactive things and it is well laid out too

Extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Clean and well set out complex offering lots of interesting and fun things to do. Tram ride was amazing, the driver and conductor were briliant.

got to MOTAT early and spent about 4 hours looking around. really really good, something for everyone. catching the Tram to the Aircraft section of the museum was nice, and the Aviation section was excellent and not to be missed.

my advice would to not bother finding a motel specifically near motat, rather look into the best motels in central auckland . it's not very far from the central city
