My husband & I visited this place at the start of August. He found it very interesting. It was very busy on the day that we were there with alot of school children, but that was fine. Lots of great memorabilia to look at.

There is a bit here to be enjoyed by all people. For me the tram ride was a highligt along with the cars and planes. Some could have spent a lot more time there.

Myself and some friends had a great day at this Museum. You can get very close to some large aircraft's - they also had entertainment for the kids in the outside area.

my advice would to not bother finding a motel specifically near motat, rather look into the best motels in central auckland . it's not very far from the central city
