Took my 80+ parents for a visit after having been to Weta in Wellington. They are both excellent and both worth visiting. Each one is different so we really enjoyed our visit to the Auckland Weta Unleashed which is more interactive and hands on which would really suit children more than the Wellington experience. The staff were helpful and friendly and the tour entertaining. Well worth a visit.

A most enjoyable visit. We're mid 60s, our son, 25. He has been to the Wellington Weta Workshop but was far more impressed with the Auckland one. There were also young children there with their families, including a couple of birthday kids who were made a special fuss of. Everyone, no matter what age, was having a great time. Not a single grumpy face to be seen. There are so many interesting things to see and lots of hands-on experiences such as manipulating displays, magic make-up mirrors, even moulding or drawing your own creations. The lightning and sound effects add to the ambience - everything you could expect from a company that specialises in fantasy.

This was so much fun! Well worth every cent. The whole family (2x adults, miss 9yrs and mr 7yrs) loved every minute. There is so much to see and do. We enjoyed creating stuff and seeing a behind the scenes environment. The staff were super friendly and very entertaining. Would highly recommend going.
