We had 19 staff kayaking to Rangitito and back and walked to the top of Rangitoto. Nick and his team are fantastic and made sure everyone was safe, well fed and watered. Their knowledge and care of the island, the ocean and wildlife helped answer any questions and put those

Exceeding exceptions is what we try to do and great to read we did this. Rangitoto is a stunning island and we are passionate about conservation and the care of the island. Safety is also something we pride ourselves in and constantly train and look for ways to improve. Thanks again for paddling with us and thanks for taking the time to review our Rangitoto product.

This is a sensational tour, but not for anyone who isn't ready for an Outward Bound-type experience. I would highly recommend that no one under 16 try this trip. In addition, wear good clothes (maybe water-proof clothes) and very good hiking shoes. It could not have been more

Rangitoto is very unique as it erupted for the last time only 600 - 800 years ago. This gives us a great insight into how our forests grow and regenerate. In the late 1800's Charles Heaphy painted a picture of Rangitoto with no trees so all the plants have self seeded within the last 100 odd years. Pretty awesome. Thanks for taking the time to review our product, its a tour we love to guide and great to read Nic is still loving his job.

We agree that seeing the sunset over Auckland is a unique way to end the day. Thank you for the kind words towards our guide, Steven we will pas them on. Most people do not get an opportunity to sea kayak at night and its pretty neat to be able to point out the southern cross when kayaking home. Thanks again for taking the time to write a review and inform other travelers about what to expect on a tour with Auckland Sea Kayaks.
