The Cathedral is a nice place to go to Mass, where the singing is beautiful and some parts are in Maori.

St. Patrick's is a modest cathedral whose history is intertwined with Auckland's development from a modest port to a lively contemporary city. It's not overwhelming, rather modest in fact, but somehow it captures the spirit of the city. Do take time to visit.

Built in 1842, St. Patrick’s Cathedral exterior is so simple as to almost be austere. Inside you know it is a Catholic Church with several crucifixes, but overall the decor here too is less ornate than some churches and overall very pleasing.

Worth a look if you enjoy looking at old buldings. Very interesting artefacts and organ with a volunteer to tell you all about it

I was wondering around the city centre and looking to see what old period buildings had survived the infestation of new sky scrapers that had been planted in the central business district. The cathedral was an oasis in a sea of modernity.

In the centre of Auckland City, this beautiful cathedral is worth a visit especially if you enjoy looking through English churches and cathedrals.

Definitely not as awe-inspiring as St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney but nice nonetheless. It's bang inside the CBD if you want to catch Sunday mass while you are there.

Beautiful cathedral to visit and to pray in Auckland CBA. This Cathedral has recently been restored. Then stroll up Hobson St going west to Presbyterian stone church of St Mathew's in the City for another spiritual experience.
