About Rapu
Established in 2001, we were known as New Zealand Surf 'n' Snow Tours for 13 years. We have re-branded ourselves as Rapu which in Maori means 'to seek' and, we feel, captures the quest to find that perfect New Zealand adventure. During summer, we offer both day and multi-day Surf Tours. During winter, whether you are a skier, snowboarder or an outdoor adventurer we have snow tour options for you.

Adam did a great job ensuring everyone was having a good time and by the end of the day 5 beginners were catching waves living our surfing dreams. I'd recommend Rapu to anyone.

I booked the two day‘s surf tour with a friend and I would def. book it a second time! Brett was the best surf teacher ever . He is a very funny and cool guy but of course you feel that he has a lot of experiences and knows a lot about surfing , the ocean and safety in the ocean and while surfing . I learned so much in this two day’s , and I‘m very thankful for this ! I learned a lot about the ocean , how to read it and how to stay safe . Of course a lot about surfing ! Brett is explaining very good ! And he is doing everything that you can do it . I felt very safe and I can recommend it to beginner‘s. Both of the day‘s were filled with surfing and A lot of fun and experiences . Thank you Brett !!

We are so pleased with rapu and higly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to surf. We were taken really good care of from the moment we were picked up until the moment we were droppes of. It really is good value for the money, we would be willing to pay much more if we were doing the trip again. You can expect instructors wich are good at giving feedback and makes sure you have a good time. Rapu makes an effort to do the “little extra”. We are really pleased and happy! Shaaaaka 😃

We had a great time in the North with Rapu adventures, we surfed Shipwrecks´ Bay, East Coast, and Ahipara during 4 days, and learnt a lot with Brett, who has been kind, patient, flexible, and an excellent coach! We would definitely go on a surftrip again with Rapu, to keep up improving and having fun. Thanks a lot!

A little late but last year I did the 7 day surf camp with Brett! I had never surfed before nor had I spent that much time in the ocean ... I am a Canadian lake girl! Brett and his team were amazing. They were so accommodating and taught me so much technique ... I also did a surf camp in Australia and I was really frustrated there because they were not as good as Brett! Brett made me sooo comfortable in the water & I totally fell in love with the sport. So much fun & a real kiwi experience. Food was also amazing! Views from the bach / hostel were great!! Definitely a great way to start my solo backpacking adventure across New Zealand... I wanted to go back and do it again but couldn't because of time at the end of my trip!
