Fun for a couple of hours for younger children.

We visited here while delayed for our outbound international flight. We only had 2&1/2 hours but it was perfect for our preschool children. They loved the train and the dinosaurs

Took my bug/insect/butterfly loving 8yo daughter for an afternoon of fun. We weren't disappointed! She loved the butterfly house and tarantulas the most. Spent a lovely 2 .5 hours exploring and she didn't want to leave!

Our Family of 2A + 2C (both under 3) would thoroughly recommend this place for those with a 4-6hr transit in Auckland. They looked after all our luggage (thank you so much!) and the place had a great range of kid friendly activities within walking distance of airport (15mins). Children U3 are free and they loved the variety of encounters... More

Took our 9 and 11 year old boys here today and we were all really impressed with the butterfly part, there were lots of them flying around and it was quite a unique experience. The crocs, monkeys and aquariums were nice extras. Really enjoyed the bugs and reptiles although cages did seem a bit tired and plastic plants were a... More

A great place to take the grandchildren. They were mesmerized with all the butterflies, such a magical experience. The friendly farm animals that they can interact with were also a big highlight for them. Not so sure about the roaring dinosaurs, the little one got frightened. The bigger kids thought they were rather awesome. The food at the cafe was... More

If you want to treat your little and older ones, nothing better than bringing them to Butterfly Creek. Dino Park is awesome for the 4 years olds but you also have a mini-golf and rope challenge park. It's absolutely awesome and you can get to meet never before seen animals for kids with daily encounters: spiders, crocodiles, etc... Love going... More

Visited Butterfly Creek whilst on holiday visiting family in Auckland. We had a 1yr old, 6yr old and 9yr old with us. The butterfly house is of course very warm, but is so lovely to see the butterflies flitting around and we were lucky enough to have a few land on us. There are other animals to see too (giant... It's a great place to go on a sunny day. 4 different attractions, 2 outdoors and 2 indoors. 3 out of four your kids will definitely enjoy. Crocodile enclosure is the only boring attraction as the animals don't do much apart from sleeping. Dinosaur and Farm were the best, especially when staff get the animals out to play with. Kids...
