The fore court never has water in the water cans. Theres never paper towels in the dispensers. Theres never any window washing water in the buckets and never any window washing brushes. The staff are rude and unfriendly and one of the staff that work there drives like an idiot . If you going to pay full price for petrol go to another petrol station . Avoid them they do not deserve youre hard earned money .…

This is a small town on the western edge of Auckland. The main drag is pretty busy, but there is quite a large (rather underused) car park close to the main street. We saw the chickens crossing the road nearby but never got chance to find out why. There are various coffee shops, eateries and other shops available if you want, but we went for the Te Uru gallery and the Colin McCahon house near French Bay. It has to be confessed we also went to the Deco Eatery for a restorative coffee. I would hesitate to call this place a hidden gem or a jewel, but you could pleasantly pass half a day here.…

We visit this place often, there are great forest walks, sort and long ones, walks for every one. The centre is worth spending so time in as shows you the history of the area and the views from the car park towards the dam and sea is fantastic. The bird life in the area is worth it alone.…

Barely 13 km from Auckland City Center lies this quaint jewel of a village Titirangi. I discovered it only because I stayed with a friend at his house in this village. It has hidden coves, lovely beaches, small shops, eateries and plenty of biking and hiking trails. It is a great outing from Auckland. So green and full of shades.…
