Lovely boutique wine bar at Three Lamps end of Ponsonby road
Sep 2020 • Couples
Pleasant ambiance at this boutique wine bar, the list is not huge but covers the bases and allows selection. The cheers and cured meats on offer provided a reason to stay for a few more glasses. Inside and outdoor seating available.

Awesome cheese plate. Great wine selection. Really cozy spot outside under the heat lamp with blankets.

Great little wine bar
Mar 2019 • Couples
I met friends for a drink and some food (nibbles really) and the service was great. We were lucky to get the bigger table at the front when others left and we sat comfortably there and had a very enjoyable evening. They didn't have one of the options on the menu which was a little disappointing but what we had was lovely and the olives were delicious.

Hello stop talking to each other and serve a customer
Aug 2018 • Couples
Had to ask the 3 staff (busy talking to each other) do we have to come up to the bar to order a drink. A “whatever” attitude. Waited over 20 minutes to see if they had noticed my glass was empty. Help me buy another drink please! Wine prices @ 300% of retail so a bit OTT (particularly for the lack of service) Great Bar design though.

A haven
May 2018
A quirky little wine bar, and I felt welcome although I was the only male present. Loved the decor, and enjoyed the wine. Just the place to sit down and wait while the wife trawled the boutiques.

What a find
Feb 2018 • Couples
There are very few places offering a simple experience of food and wine like this.
The wines are few but very select. The menu is short offering European meats and cheeses.
We shared the cheese plate and each of the three cheeses was ripe to perfection. The St Agur was the best we have tasted.
The service is polite, efficient and subtle.
Excellent!

Cute and cozy

This darling little wine bar was a welcome find with a small but satisfying menu. The only disappointment was the selection from California. (Bogle) There are lots of better Cali whites. However, this place is a charming spot for a glass of wine or classic cocktail.

Fabulous find
Sep 2017 • Couples
We stumbled across this gorgeous little wine bar recently. What a wonderful place, reminiscwent of a cosy, chic little wine bar in France or Italy.
Great selection of wines and beers; the tasting platters looked superb, although we didn't eat.
Service and staff was excellent, very friendly.
It got pretty busy after 5.30pm or so and as it is small, that created a great buzz.
Perfect place to pop into after work for a drink and some nibbles.
We will definitely return .

Very New York / Melbourne

Without sounding like a prat it takes a lot to wow me. I have to say this little gem is total gold and when I leave I think when can I find an excuse to go back.

It's small, intimate, cosy and very chic and can't get enough of this place. Not pretentious with a cool girl behind the bar. A nice selection of wines with some nice nibbles on the side. Go try it and if you don't like it feel free to hunt me down.

Well done its a cool little gem and we need another 10 like this in Auckland.

Ponsonby Rd hidden gem
Jul 2017 • Couples
This cosy little wine bar has it all, its hard to find at the end of Ponsonby Rd, the Three Lamps end, the owner Henry has years of international experience running wine bars, the selection of wine is tight and well selected, the mixed drinks are sublime, a snack is European cheese with divine chutney and locally baked bread.
We came here late afternoon and it was already starting to hum, everything is well appointed, music that is at the right level and refined.
It seems this place can cover a quick catch up, a pre-dinner drink or what ever, this will now be our go to, its a place that will get better each time you visit.
