An America's Cup yacht is a much different beast up close, on the boat and hands on, to seeing one in the distance on Auckland harbour or on TV. It is enormous, with the mast and sails stretching high above you. I had a great day for sailing with blue sky, sunshine and 22 kn winds. When the wind hits... More

Ahoy, this was the best 2+ hours on the water on an America's Cup boat...truly a dream sail for me. The crew is young and adept, truly skilled sailors. Even if you have not sailed, they made the outing a pleasure for all and you can sit back and enjoy if you choose. Those who want to grind, drive/helm will... More

The problem was, there wasn't enough wind to make it a fair measure. The idea is really interesting and would have been fun, but with no wind, there was no sailing. This is not something the company can control, and they did cut it short, bring us back, and give us lifetime vouchers for a free ride if we are... More

We booked a 2 hour sail and are glad we did. We were on a 10 year old Americas Cup boat that was very fun to sail on. They take you out in the harbor and let you help run the grinders (to put the sails up) and steer the sailboat. We were fortunate to run across the NZ national... More

This is a 2-3 hour experience with the crew to be a part of working of the sailing boat. Crew was very friendly and informative. Participation is not mandatory, but is a big part of the experience.

What a great experience to get o sail on a yacht of this calibre & get to help crew it & even steer it. The captain was excellent in making us feel lke part of the crew. The crew were very helpful as well. Highly recommended. Wear sun block!

We made a paid reservation a month in advance for the morning we arrived, timed so we could do this while waiting for our room. When you showed up they had unapologetically cancelled us for a cruise ship tour and scheduled us for later in the day. No prior notice. What more is there to say?

This was a fun activity, although we were unable to get the full experience as the winds were not cooperating. We were able to participate in some of the tasks on the boat. The crew was informative, friendly and made sure to offer us sunscreen as the sun was especially harsh. We got great views of the Auckland skyline from... More

This sail was amazing and offered the opportunity (but not the requirement) of participating with crew. We caught some good winds so the sailing was amazing and it was so fun to take a chance to steer. The views are stunning and the crew was knowledgeable and fun. An awesome way to see the views of Auckland and surrounding islands!

We flew in overnight from San Fran and my wife suggested we do something to shake off the jetlag. Boy, did she pick it! While my son and I do some occasional sailing (landlocked Colorado), we certainly hasn't sailed a Amercas Cup class Yacht (this is a training Yacht for the America's Cup NZ team). The professional crew suited us... More
