We were looking for a tour on our first day to stay active after our long flight! We booked the Aucky Walky tour several weeks before our arrival!
Liz snd Debbie were wonderful ! We were touched by their passion and love for New Zealand and their beautiful city of Aukland! We enjoyed the off the beaten path sites we saw! We stopped for tea and also a delicious chocolate stop !!
Their restaurant suggestions were also quite helpful !!
Thank you Liz and Debbie for a fabulous day !!

THE BEST!!! Book this tour asap! Liz was a wonderful host & full of great knowledge of Auckland & surrounding areas. The restaurants & food choices were great & wow - plenty of food - so come hungry. Liz leaves you a printed sheet of paper that will give you everything you need to know about Auckland & more.
BOOK THIS TOUR! They to get in on your first day in the city as you will be set with plenty of choices for the remainder of your days in the city ...and beyond.

Fabulous tour, would highly recommend. Is certainly worth the price. The guides give you great local tips and are experts on Auckland. Well designed tour with a few breaks for a coffee and some chocolates too!

Thank you to Liz of Aucky Walky for showing me and my USA soccer fan friends a wonderful time! When I was doing some Women’s World Cup trip planning I looked at walking/food tours and Liz was highly rated. This winter is usually off-season for her so I’m glad she opened her arms and the city to football fans. She pre-arranged solutions for food preferences or allergies when I asked in advanced and all the food, was fantastic and local. We learned about the history of NZ, Auckland, and her experience as someone who’s grown up in a city she adores.
We had only landed from a very long flight at 5:30AM, so tired, and somehow she kept us going through the afternoon and into the evening with a great tour and friendship.

Wonderful tour with Liz. She is knowledgeable and lovely to tour with. She knew our whole group's names immediately, and was willing to answer all of our questions throughout the day no matter their topic. The food - my goodness! Delicious at each stop, and plenty of it. Make sure you come hungry. Great to visit some hidden gems and all independent eateries, and to get a sense of the city at the same time.

Such an intimate and enjoyable to take in the city. Highly recommend so that you can learn about the ins and outs of Auckland, as if you were a local!
Pro tip- plan to do this tour as soon as you arrive, so that you have time to go back to the areas and explore your own

This tour had it all! Info about the city, historical stories with modern applications, hidden gems, delicious food, and answers to our questions about Auckland. Liz is such a thoughtful and knowledgeable host and she helped each of us (my husband, teenage daughter and I) to make personal connections to the city. Our group talked about so many different things as we walked through this dynamic city and we can’t wait to explore it more and with the fantastic sheet of recommendations Liz shared. Don’t hesitate to book this one, you won’t be disappointed!

Liz is an expert guide, a knowledgeable local, and a lovely person. Her tour was informative and fun. She exudes an attentiveness that puts everyone at ease and makes visitors feel warmly welcomed to her home city. In addition to the guided walk, she provides access to places we never would have found on our own and a take-away "cheat-sheet" with helpful tips for when we continuing exploring without her. An A+ tour. Strongly recommend.

This is an exceptional, must do tour for an authentic and incredible introduction to what the highlights of a visit in Auckland should include. Liz provides fantastic insights as a local with entertaining stories that give context and meaning to all the sites. You'll see things you wouldn't find out about on the internet and she also makes recommendations per your personal interests. You'll leave with a sheet of inspiring ideas for restaurants, activities, local food favorites, and a map to find them! It's like meeting up with a friend who gives you a good overview and guide for planning the rest of your days in Auckland to make the most of them. Highly recommend - will make a good visit, a GREAT one!

We had a very nice and interesting tour with Liz who was a fantastic guide. The tour is a great start when you just arrived in Auckland as Liz is giving loads of recommendations (handout included) on where to go in the coming days or just hours.
The tour gives a good overview on the history of Auckland, how it developed in the post and how it’s going to develop further in the coming years.
Last, Liz shares a lot of information which only a local knows.
Overall, money very well spend!

Hi there, we have some friends arriving in NZ soon and want to show them around. We've done the free walking tour but we heard that your tour is an exact copy, with the guide using their script? - does your tour have anything different? And is there an option for less then $50?

Wow that's news to us. Savvy travelers will read your question and realize that someone with a vested interest is trying to discredit our small tours. You gave ‘free walking’ a glowing review so we're intrigued you’d even consider us for your friends.
Given you live in central Auckland Jose, please phone us if interested in our R&D. We’ll bore you with the in-depth research behind our unique tours. We'll share with you the process of digging through Auckland's library archives, restaurant reviews, online blogs and museum files. Our work is all our own, extensively referenced and we’ve never guided for any other venture.
As for using a script? As storytellers we don’t have one, never have. Our small-group focus means we tailor our route and repartee every day to the interests of our guests. We often deviate into hidden lobbies, viewing decks, lanes, shops or galleries where the big free groups don't go. Plus pause to chat with the interesting locals we know.
People tell us our $49 tour is excellent value for a morning with a top-rated professional guide, a ride on the locals’ bus uptown, a tasting and advice on where to eat and shop. Plus our tours can include lunch if you choose.
It's clear from our reviews that our small-group tours (with a genuine Aucklander) are considered different and highly regarded.

Our small-group 'Hello Auckland' walking tour is NZD$49 for adults - which includes a ride on the locals bus. Leaves 10am from downtown Queen St, Auckland outside McDonalds. Bookings essential - online on aucky walky website. (Can't add web address here.)
