What a delight to learn the history of parts of Auckland on Liz's Aucky Walky Tour. Liz knew so much and was so accommodating on our tour. I learnt about the Art district, the Suffragettes, about contemporary artists, tunnels under Albert Park, Whiskey Bars, the red light district and so much more. if only I had done this sooner. Thanks Liz you do such a great job.

I had an enjoyable morning with 'Local Liz' and another couple walking the sites and learning something of the story of Auckland, past, present and future, with some refreshments and chocolate tasting along the way ending with a delicious lunch at the Sky Tower. Highly recommended!

Tasting one's way through the CBD of a city is a great way to get "close up and personal" with the culture, history, and architecture of your destination. We loved the four spots Joe took us too and laughed and learned so much along the way about the city she clearly loves. It was relaxed, entertaining, informative, and, especially tasty! A lovely afternoon with a special tour guide!

Thanks so much - we loved showing you the yummy side of Auckland and revealing its treasures along the way. For now, it's virtual travel only giving us time to plan even tastier treats when we reopen! All the best and stay safe.

I enjoyed this walking tour with Joe. We had a small group (only 3 of us plus Joe). We covered a lot of Auckland in 3 hours, including a bus ride up to the uptown area known as “K Road”. Closer to the wharf, we saw many boutique shops and stopped in an upscale chocolate shop for a tasting. Joe was very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. I learned a lot about Auckland and New Zealand re their history and culture. It was totally worthwhile. I highly recommend this walking tour, particularly on the front-end of your stay in Auckland, so you can get a “lay of the land”. The photo ops were great, too!

Thanks so much J - Joe enjoyed showing you round. So glad that it was helpful with kickstarting your Auckland stay and that our small-group focus fitted the bill. You were our last group before Covid-enforced cancellations so hope you're home safely now. All the best and thanks for visiting Aotearoa NZ - the land of the long white cloud.

Our small group was led cheerfully through the highlights of Auckland by our guide, Jo. She made us all feel welcome, and was an enthusiastic ambassador for her city. Although we had to scramble a bit to avoid construction, she chose routes that were easy for us to manage. Any questions were quickly answered. We had a lovely coffee stop where we learned about New Zealand foods, and then tried some tasty artisan chocolates. Jo also provided a list of recommended restaurants, foods, and experiences. She was really helpful with specific bus Route advice. The tour pace was great, we covered a lot but never felt rushed. I would recommend this tour as a good orientation to the city. I actually took the tour on March 16, but the system date defaulted to April.
