We have held our full-day annual Strategy Day at The VR Studio this year. We chose this place because we were looking for a creative and innovative environment with a focus on AR and VR. The VR Studio was perfect for us in this regard.
Holly was extremely helpful with initial planning, she very patiently explained to me the different types of VR they had and helped me to plan the day.
On the day, Holly and The VR team went out of their way to create the best experience we could possibly have. They helped us set up our catering, they made our drinks throughout the whole day. They were present when we needed them and quietly disappeared during our working sessions to give us privacy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day from the beginning to the end. The place was nice and warm, with sufficient parking, lots of natural light, great AV equipment for our presentation, flexible seating options, and great service. The VR Studio team was happy to organise our catering for us if required and to support us with what we have organised. They were also amazing at spending time with each of us doing various VR, they ensured we understood how to perform each VR activity and received the maximum enjoyment from it. They had cool new group activities which we found fantastic for our education and team-building.
I would recommend The VR Studio to any business for their strategic or team-building events. It was great fun to be there, we left inspired and energised.

Having visited most virtual reality venues in both the north and the South island of New Zealand. Virtual reality studio is by a mile the most up to date awesome fun for all ages clean with the friendliest and most professional staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I could not rave about them enough and I would give 10 stars if I could. I arranged very last minute my 10 year old sons birthday party contacting them on their days off they returned all my calls ( anytime of day or night) immediately, were very flexible and met my every need a day out from my son's birthday. I didn't need to worry about a thing the price is amazing for the gaming time you get way better than anywhere else.i honestly would not bother ever going to any other virtual reality venue because in my experience they have all been substantially lacking compared to this one. They make it all about the kids and making sure their experience is an unforgettable one. I couldn't thank Harry, Holly and the team enough for having the patience to first of all deal with my demands and secondly 6 screaming yelling ten year old boys who had the time of their lives. You guys rule. Thank you.

Took my son and his 2 friends for his 13th birthday party. They had a blast with the 110min package.
If you're heading there during a busy time, then I suggest dipping in another $50 to reserve the main party table.
Only downfall at the time was the VR Plus gamer lounge was being upgraded, which we were not informed of prior to booking. Small blip in their armour, but the staff were very energetic, patient and helpful and made up for it.
I would highly recommend a visit. Us adults even had a 10min go, whilst the kids had a drinks break and we thought "damn we should have booked ourselves a session"
Overall a positive experience and you'll leave wanting more!

You're absolutely right it was unavailable to book VR Plus on the date you were hoping & we can also see how that was easily confused & are always looking to improve our communication & ease of booking. Hi there. My experience exceeded my expectations, wow I've never done gaming like that ever before.
Very friendly staff, very helpful & patient. I'd like to try the seated VR Room, car racing, flying ect. Correct me if I'm wrong but it would be great if you could pay an overall package so the $76.00 included the seated gaming room also. My only suggestion would be to do up the main room, perhaps neon lighting, a bit darker, it just came across a tad bare & dull. Mind you once I put those VR goggles on nothing else mattered. My mate and I are definitely returning very soon and I for one have already told numerous friends about your place. Question: Do you offer like a half or yearly pass? Tim

A fantastic, fun experience for 6 boys for a 10 Year old Birthday. The boys loved it, there were a variety of games for them to choose from and they liked that they could also join each other in games. A lot of laughs watching them play and we will definitely be back and recommending to others to visit. Thanks so much!

We celebrated my son's birthday at the studio with 4 of his friends. They had a dedicated staff members during their 50 min playing session that were super friendly and attentive to helping the boys. We also hired the party room upstairs for 1 hour afterwards. It was decorated for us and the boys could hang out there have snacks, presents and play "old time" video games there for free. The venue set up was perfect for social distancing during Covid 19 alert level 2 and the staff were wearing mask and super mindful of cleanliness. Thanks for a great time!

Never tried virtual reality gaming before, I was impressed with the gaming system, and the facilities at Virtual Reality Studios was excellent to facilitate a large-ish group. I think they had 8 booths. While waiting, they had a retro games room, reminiscing PS1 and nintendo games. Would come back

We have 16 permanent VR Stations, & 9 additional portable currently - next time try VR Plus in our gamers lounge to mix it up.

We took the boys to Virtual Reality Studio as a school holiday activity. They were in multiplayer games for their time, competing, talking and giggling together. But the best part was the help and support the staff gave throughout our visit.

There is a VR place in New Market that I think is much better and easier to navigate. I found a lot of difficulty going through the tutorial of the VR system here. It took me ten minutes to actually start playing a game. I only had 50 minutes of playing time. Additionally, I was using the system to ask for help but no one assisted me for about five minutes. I literally yelled "help!" and someone finally came to assist me (there were two staff members). I think the experience would have been a lot better if customer service was better. My partner and I were the only two people there for the session.

On a day where we had alot of activities to get thru with my small birthday group. I was relieved and instantly relaxed when we arrived at VR Studio. The children had fun and were excited to plan future events at VR Stidio again. The host was friendly, informative and was patient with my group of highly excited children. The space was bright, spacious, clean and attractive. I really enjoyed our prebooking time at VR.
