AMAZING EXPERIENCE...DON'T MISS IT!!
Feb 2020
You gotta go before it leaves us for ever! The whole Globe structure and set up is just amazing. Actors very energetic!! Unfortunately the articulation and speed of delivery made the dialogue difficult to understand. If you haven't got the stamina to be standing for ages as a Groundling, recommend one of the middle bays looking straight down onto the stage where you can see it all at close quarters. Last chance to experience this as this is the last season. Also enjoyed having a bite to eat and drink sitting outside before the show.

Much Ado About Nothing
Jan 2020
Good to experience Shakespeare as it was done. Very well presented. However could only catch some of the words as the voices do not project well up into the covered sides of the theatre. That was disappointing! As it is a party-opened roof if a cold summer’s evening, wear your winter woollies and something to keep out the SW breeze we are having this 2020 summer season. The Pop Up is ending soon in Auckland so if you would like to do this, do not leave it too long.

Great show and great value if u do stand up
Jan 2020 • Friends
A friend and I did the $10 stand up session of Romeo and Juliet. Not the most comfortable but if u can handle standing for an hour then a fifteen minute break followed by another hour of standing it’s a great show and super affordable! Stand at the back if u don’t want to risk getting fake blood splatter! U can also get food and drinks. I hear the comedies As u like it etc. are great too! Make the effort as it is moving on and won’t likely be back.

A Night at the Globe (in Auckland)
Dec 2019 • Friends
They did a great job of the set and the acting was very good.
Wear warm clothes. We were chilly all evening.
Get there early and have something to eat and drink in the garden.

Romeo & Juliet
Dec 2019 • Couples
I can not recommend the ‘pop-up globe’ enough.

I saw the preview of Romeo & Juliet last night and it was simply superb... a great mixture of traditional and modern references, true to the Bards original and both elating and heartbreaking at the same time....

A wonderful setting and a fabulous company with a truly world class cast and director.

Go and see it 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿😊😊😊😊😊😊😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎

The best way to experience something is often as it was intended...
Dec 2018
The Pop-Up Globe is a spectacular way to appreciate Shakespeare's works and with a good company is a very immersive experience. I always go as a groundling for the full effect. At Henry V I'd lost track of where the King was while the narrator described part of the battle - when suddenly the next voice was Henry himself, in bloody armour and with sword aloft, declaiming 'once more unto the breach' from next to my left elbow! I've attended several plays across three seasons at the Globe - the 'review date' might not be right as TripAdvisor limits reviews to the past year.

The Acting and play were brilliant and after the first half, when we were actually let into the Mid section which we had booked, (after many complaints), we enjoyed the play and didn't miss a word or acting gesture, that was an important part of the play.

No explanation was given as to why we were all ushered into the lower section with bad seating, that's why we booked the mid section because chairs had backs on them and we had good seats where we could see and hear everything. Can only assume staff didn't want to have to clean up after patrons, (not that there was any mess anyway).

ENJOY WHILE SOAKING UP HISTORY...
Oct 2019
Been to all four plays this October while it was in Perth... Two different troupes from the UK of young people presenting Measure for Measure, Hamlet, Twelfth Night and Midsummer Night's Dream... Construction is amazing and choosing the right seats is important for viewing and hearing.. It has been an exciting new adventure with open bar and Casino restaruants close at hand...

Mid summer nights dream
Oct 2019 • Couples
Wow!!! What a night! A dream come true for me! My fiance took us for a fun night and fun it was...

The only thing that I would say was a negative was the fact we couldn't see the whole stage where we were but honestly, the actors, energy and whole creation was unfaultable! I am so happy to have gone and would go again in a heartbeat.
