As this is our only experience with any of the ferries, i can say we all found it to be a positive experience. Typically the food was overpriced but it was of good quality. We upgraded to a double room upon boarding and enjoyed the privacy and the shower. Mostly since we had been cooped up in a camper van... More

You can tell when a company values in clients by what happens when an emergency arises. Some one on the previous ferry crossing managed to completely block the toilet system. Consequently our ferry crossing on the 27th December was delayed - yes delayed for 4 hours. The crew were marvellous but the Captain was obviously asleep and the the Company... More

Hi Tom B, I do have to agree that it certainly can be a very trying time for all concerned when these types of things happen and we do apologize for the inconvenience. However I would have to disagree with you on your comment about not valuing our customers. It was a very unfortunate incident which caused the delay and... More

We crossed on a VERY rough afternoon and I was very impressed with the attention the staff gave to passengers who were feeling a bit ill. Will be using this service again for sure!

We brought our rental car on Bluebridge ferry. The schedule was 8am depart from Wellington & 12 pm arrive at Picton. The actual time was 9.30 dept. & 1.30pm arrival. We arrived at terminal at 7am. (1hr before as requested). There was a long queue of trucks getting off the prior ferry. We finally got on the ferry around 9am.... More

they were cheaper than Interislander, & I enjoyed travelling with them in comparison to Interislander. The only reason I didn't give 5* was because Bluebridge cancelled my return journey & then tried to put me on a trip 5 hours later, luckily my NZ family fought my corner hard & I managed to get on to the next Interislander ferry.... Hi DueceWooo, Thank you for your review. I am not quite sure about the circumstances around moving you to a later sailing unless this occurred during the earthquake period but I'm glad to see that it all worked out well in the end. Kind regards Peter More

I just had the best service experience with Bluebridge Ferry. I accidentally booked a month early. First, they called when I didn't arrive at boarding time to check if there were problems. They followed up with a re-booking and were incredibly friendly in spite of the problem being my own doing. Tom in customer service was fantastic. Thank you, Bluebridge... More

Loving the free WiFi. I'm not sure if it's new but I don't think it was available on my trip last year. There is WiFi in the Bluebridge departure lounge and in the passenger areas of the ship. It makes for a very quiet time waiting to board!

This service has improved immensley since its early days. Comfortable and good facilities onboard for all the family for the 2-3 hr trip across the Tasman. We'll definately utilise this ferry on our next trip

For the last 5 years we have crossed with Bluebridge twice a year. So after 10 crossings we feel they deserve a 10/10 for service, comfort and reliability. As passengers with a ute and a caravan we have found the staff exceptionally helpful from ticketing to vehicle deck workers to cafeteria staff. Nothing is too much trouble. A great company... More

Great service, I usually travel the overnighter and it's great. Often have cheap rates for students. I missed my sailing one time and they put me on the next sailing with no worries.
