CAT buses are free, as are all services in the CBD. It's a pity that suburban buses run so infrequently - once an hour in my suburb 9Km from CBD.

Great experience from Transport as it is all free in CBD area. Every large city should do the same, it will make everybody's life so much easier. Thank you for that huge convenience.

7/10 times Transperth is just average at the best of times. But as a student who uses public transport frequently to get to and from university, the train system in the remaining 3/10 times is terrible. Even leaving early to get to an exam 45...More

Unusual to compliment an Australian city on its public transport but big congratulations to Perth for their 3 free CAT bus services. As a casual visitor they provided access to parts of the city I wouldn’t have otherwise gone & made local travel enjoyable. Buses...More

$2.20 is the cash fare but you can buy other options. Prices depend on the number of zones you travel through. Public transport is free in the CBD
