There wasn't a lot on display when I visited this museum, but it was worth it for the display boards detailing the history of Perth. These were well presented and gave a good overview of the development of the city to the present day.

Located opposite Elizabeth Quay, this quiet and unassuming museum is located in the historic Atlas Building having relocated from Grand Lane. You can take the old lift up to the second level, just be sure to hear for the click and shut the doors fully...More

There's not much point in going to the main building right now. It's being renovated. Check if they are open before you plan your visit. That being said, the museum is staging other events and exhibits elsewhere in the city from time to time.

Half the fun is finding this cool little space, Tucked down a semi-secret lane way, you don't know what to to expect as you approach, but the result is a fun little space that pokes a bit of fun at the underbelly and history of...More

I finally got around to visiting the Museum of Perth on the launch night of their 'Perth at the outbreak of War : 1914' exhibit. The information depicted in this exhibit is quite fascinating with several interesting photographs and information which will probably be unfamiliar...More

Entry to this museum is free and some of it is closed pending substantial renovations this year. What is on display is very good but it is obvious that the place and some of its exhibits are due for a facelift. Judging from the plans...More
