The Bell Tower is one of the most unique things to see in Perth. Their is the opportunity to participate in the The Bell Tower Experience which gives you a fascinating insight into the one of the most unique facilities in the world! You can learn all about the history of the bells and the Tower, the ancient art of bell ringing and you will get to chime a famous bell and receive a souvenir certificate. Twelve of the 18 bells in this tower came from London's St.Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square as a Bicentenary gift to the people of Western Australia in 1988. Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monach since George II in 1727.

Had a wonderful time being taken on a tour and going through the history of the St Martin in the fields bells. The highlight was actually ringing the bells in time with others to form a melody of bells. Fantastic.

The bell tower does not deliver the attraction as advertised in the tourist brochures. Bells only ring on Sunday! So other than a view over Perth and the Swan River it has not much more to offer, unless you are interested in doing a lot...More

Great vies of the Swan River from the top floor and i strongly recommend the bell ringing demonstration. The demonstration guide Howard has been very friendly and the experience of ringing the bells was awesome.

Worth a visit - helpful and friendly staff and great view across swan river estuary. I didnt get to watch the bells being rung but I imagine that would also be good.

From far, the Bell Tower was attractive. Once closer to the Bell Tower, it was even more attractive. It stood out! It has water and fountains around its tower. It was really modern with lots of glass. Most of the people nearby were admiring this...More

Unfortunately I didn't go inside on the tour but I would have loved to. However, the building in itself is stunning and well worth a look. There is a pretty water feature out the front and its on the harbour so its quite picturesque. Maybe...More

Such a shame it is being swallowed up by the construction all around it. Can be viewed from the opposite direction still but is eventually going to be dwarfed by the accommodation buildings near it. Still worth a visit as the bells are lovely to...More

What a perfect unique and beautiful attraction that Perth has to offer. This is something i highly recommend, and encourage people to pay that little bit more to be able to ring the bells.
