Just two km from the city you can throw out a blanket and picnic on the lawn as the sun goes down. You’ll need to bring your own everything, but there’s probably no better place in Perth for an evening picnic.

There are sweeping views across the Swann River to the CBD from this look out. It is adjacent to the war memorial and the botanic gardens which are both well worth spending time at.

If exploring by foot is your thing, as it is mine, then make this one of your stops. This area was a lovley residential area with beautiful views and is only a short stroll from the CBD on route to Kings Park.
