Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to the premier debut of “Become Ocean” and it was terrific experience. The orchestra was fully professional and well rehearsed in their program. Seating is quite adequate and we were able to see without obstruction from row BB.

This particular program includes the WAYO as well and they blended In well to the whole orchestral family.

Well done to all in a fantastic performance.

The Western Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is much loved by the people of Perth. The repetoire includes both modern and classical composers, though the classics predominate. People who really love their music often subscribe for the season, though you can usually get a one-off ticket. Home base for WASO is the Perth Concert Hall in St George's Tce, which is accessible by car or public transport.. WASO maintains a high standard. It is boon for the people of WA, who often feel neglected when it comes to the arts

I have been going to WASO concerts since to 1980's. Always enjoyed the music and accomplished members of the orchestra. Usually sit in the choir stalls, cheaper, and you get to see the conductors face!

Just saw/ heard Asher Fisch conduct Strauss’ Alpine Symphony and it was great. This was a morning concert from eleven until noon. Fabulous. The was a 20 minute explanation which was very informative. We really enjoyed the programme. The facility is very comfortable as well.

The conductor of the Perth symphony is a gem; I was delighted to be part of a very special performance last evening and to see how the crowd and his orchestra respond to the way he handles it all. It was a delight as is the hall and facilities. Bravo Perth

I always enjoy WASO in winter/autumn.

The performances 90% of the time are great with seldom misses in terms of pieces selected.

While I like the older interior of the concert hall, the seats are tight and most attendees are on the older side.

When I book over the phone, the phone staff are always friendly. They do on occasion call about promotions or getting donations which I don't always appreciate.

The door staffers (customer service/attitude) can be very hit and miss. The door/bag checker was rude but other staff members inside the lobby were perfectly ok. At other performances the lobby staff have been rude- so very hit and miss.

The West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is much loved by the people of WA. WASO's regular concerts do much to break WA's cultural drought. The Orchestra plays all varieties of classical music. WASO is very popular, if you want to get a ticket it would be wised to book well in advance. Perth people are very proud of WASO, I have attended several WASO concerts and it seems to be okay to me.

Come and enjoy WASO, a great orchestra, in Perth Concert Hall, sonically a very beautiful space. My wife and I subscribe to the Thursday morning concerts, a good excuse for a cycle in from Freo and a morning off work, with some gorgeous music and then a romantic lunch with my beloved in town. What's not to love?

The Western Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is much loved by the people of Perth. Many patrons give generously to the orchestra in addition to paying for their season's ticket. Current Principal Conductor is Isrsaeli musician Asher Fisch. He is said to be one of the world's most talented conductors. Many of WASO's patrons are elderly immigrants who have loved classical music all their lives. The main venue for WASO's concerts is the Perth Concert Hall, which has superb acoustics. I have attended WASO concerts several times and rhe sound is wonderful. If you want to attend a WASO concert please book early, as they often sell out. WASO is an arts organisation of which Western Australians can be justly proud.

Waso as us locals call them and they call themselves is a world class orchestra from here in Perth. They travel internationally and full of skilled and highly trained musicians.

You won't be disappointed.

I have seen them several times and have always enjoyed their performances.
