On a recent trip to Melbourne I used the free tram service within the CBD. A very convenient way to get around. As would be expected, the trams were always crowded.

Great way to get around the city! Stops and lines are easy to find and follow. Can be a bit crowded at times, but still the best way to travel around Melbourne.

These come in three ages....modern, old and ancient.....but it doesn't matter as they all serve the city well. If you are a tourist and can restrict your journeys to within the Free Tram Zone then you will see Melbourne for FREE !!!! If not buy...More

I use the trams as public transport, they're trams. It's much more pleasant now the city is a free ticket zone, no more inspectors.

Easy to get around Melbourne city if you have the stored value ticket and you know where you are going. Hotel concierge's can help with maps etc..
