Spartacus is spectacular & totally enthralling. It is a clever combination of athleticism & elegance, of traditional ballet & contemporary dance. The sets are minimalist but dramatic. The costumes showcase the physicality of the dancers whose bodies truely are living, breathing works of art.

I also had very high hopes attending this production, having danced professionally myself for over 15 years and having been blessed to have watched and been enchanted by (countless times) AB's early 90's version of Giselle with Lisa Bolte, Christine Walsh and David McAllister himself...More

How does one explain that a performance by such talented dancers, under the brilliant directorship of David McAllister, felt more like attending a suburban gymnastics and dance pantomime than the performance of a world class ballet school. Despite the obvious skills and grace of many...More

I have booked the ballet for years and have never been disappointed in the performances. The dancers are spectacular, the sets are stunning and the staff are always polite and knowledgeable. Occasionally there are crappy audience members who have no respect for others, however, this...More

Magnificent performance. Dramatic, powerful and emotional. BRAVO BRAVO! The performance seemed to pass so quickly and was so emotionally charged. The final scene was exceptional in it's portrayal. Just Brilliant.

I attended the performance with my two daughters, 15 and 19 years old. We were all deeply moved and shaken by a brilliant performance, which combined artistry, athleticism, excellent acting, a powerful choreography and a sensitive musical direction to narrate the timeless story of humanity...More

Wow! The re-working of Spartacus was brilliantly created. The sleek, minimalist sets added, rather then detracted from the atmosphere. It allowed the dancers to tell the story. The costumes were beautiful & showed of the dancer's physicality. The higlight from the performance for me was...More
