Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went for a relaxing drink beside the Yarra and a light snack. Terrible service. The food was very ordinary - the spicy calamari had no spice. At least the drinks were cold

Perfect location by the river, walking distance to trams, Crown, DFO, Southbank, Docklands, Southern Cross and Flinders Street.
The staff have been really friendly every time I have been.
They do some great deals for happy hour and have a footy special for select games. The food is good, the cheeseburger spring rolls are well worth it and taste exactly like a cheeseburger.
Plenty of space to sit indoors or outdoors and they're dog friendly :)

Great location to kick back and relax. Happy hour between 5 & 6 pm give half price meals and drink if ordered via QR Code at your table. Meals were well prepared and tasty. Well done.

We ordered the share platter and it was huge. We couldn't eat it all and other friends even helped themselves. The only complaint we were the only ones there and put in a corner, hidden away when we would of preferred to have river views.
Also we wanted dessert but the coffee machine was turned off. Pretty much pointless and disappointing. We went across the road.

While the location is great on the Yarra, across the river from the convention centre, prices are over the top. $13 for a pint is outrageous in my opinion. Obvious to see why they dont list any prices at the bar, apart from the happy hour price. I would have walked straight out and gone elsewhere if I had seen the $13 price listed

A great hotel. Great service. Fab food. The best sweet potato wedges I have ever had.
Looked up a hotel near the city showing the footie. Several TVs giving good viewing.

Visited the igloo wonderland last night and whilst it was different, fun and a great relaxed vibe, I did feel it was overpriced. For $49 there was a shared platter and some drinks. I feel like we more paid for the drinks which I would rather purchase separately. Perhaps a $40 price for an entree, main and dessert menu then add drinks on would be a better menu choice.
I loved being in the igloo- but it was really loud sharing with others in the mega igloo and all the mini’s were booked. Fun to do once, but don’t think I will return for that menu.

It was my 55th birthday on Sunday and my bestie Vickster treated me to dinner. The Wharf Hotel was right next to the Crowne Plaza, where I was staying. The menu looked strong and basic, good pub food. We got in early, seated at a comfy booth and both ordered porterhouse, chips and salad. All come, done to perfection. The steaks were exact - rare for Vickster, medium rare for me - and cooked to melt in the mouth perfection. Very happy with the steaks, and the service from the lovely young ladies. Definitely a winner and reasonably priced. Two porterhouse meals and a jug of soda water came to only around $50. Wonderful.

Visited here for early evening drinks while happy hour was on. Great value drinks in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The pizza and steak we had for dinner was also good value and tasty.

Stopped for a quick lunch and took advantage of the express lunch menu which gave us a delicious chicken burger and a mountain of fries for $12 but it took an incredibly long time to arrive and it wasn’t particularly busy at the time. That being said the meal was delicious!
