Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I visited on a quiet Sunday during Easter, as it was a place that I hadn't been to for a long time. It really is a lovely oasis in what has now become a very busy area. There was plenty of parking around it when we got there at around 11.00am, not sure how easy it is later in the day. The lake is really pretty and the surrounds are filled with many different plants and trees and you are not aware of the traffic that surrounds it. There are a couple of playgrounds for children and there is a cafe; 'Curators Collective' which has a very large menu, great service and, if the weather is not so good, an enclosed area for people to sit in. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and most definitely on a sunny day.

A peaceful park between busy roads, but large enough to shut out much of the clamour of the city. This park was the first night stopover of the tragic Burke and Wills expedition across Australia in the 1860s.

It is a hot day, but the park offers seating and shade. The Wood Ducks are patrolling the grass in force and the pool is open again. Hooray for Summer.

Having walked my kids to school through Queens Park for the last 5 years I know this park! If you look carefully in the lake you can see tortoise in addition to the ducks and moorhens. The cafe sells ice cream and biscuits .
For the younger kids there are 2 different play areas.

The one negative are the public toilets, they are a bit lacking

Wonderful local park. We could do with more play equipment for kids. The kids equipment is good but basic and a bit tired.

This park is nestled along the river, with million dollar views. We enjoyed a leisurely afternoon here. The smoothies at the cafe were fantastic - and beautiful! We all got different ones and couldn't settle on which was our favorite!

If you are lucky enough to be in the area, or even in the CBD (short tram ride), then ensure that you visit. Large lake surround by lovely gardens and pathways, lots of birdlife, and plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a great area for kids to play and explore and the new café there is perfect. Great for weddings as well (my counsin's a few years ago was great).

I'm very lucky to have such a gorgeous park that is within my five km radius. It has helped very much during lockdown

Queens Park is a tranquil oasis in the busy suburb of Moonee Ponds. It is bounded by Pascoe Vale Road and Mt Alexander Road, which was the track the diggers took to the goldfields. Its historical importance, however, came from its role as the first stopping place of the Burke and Wills Expedition to cross Australia from South to North. There is an obelisk commemorating this fact on the median strip opposite the bowling club. By the way, the lake was then called "the Lagoon."

Queens Park has two playgrounds. One, near Pascoe Vale Road, has a number of play items including Jungle Gyms that are suitable for older, though sub-teen, children. It adjoins the Queens Park Outdoor Pool. A popular playground for toddlers abuts the Creator's Collective Cafe. Parents can enjoy a coffee while the ankle biters play. Queens Park has a lake It plays host to a variety of waterbirds, which amuse the little ones. It takes around 15 to 20 minutes to walk around the lake.Queens Park is very popular with young families. The park also has automatic restrooms.
