In order to get to this garden, you have to go back behind the big hall. It's a nice place to sit, but it's not worth going to unless there is an exhibition out there.

Monet's Garden exhibition was part of the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) Winter Masterpieces exhibition in 2013. It has now moved on. The exhibition was very popular, giving an insight into how this great impressionist painter worked.

A place I love to share with visitors to Melbourne. Food and service are always excellent, and even in winter, the view of the gardens through the windowed walls gives a special lift to the spirits.

I like art and take an interest but am not an expert or snob. This is a fantastic exhibition that suited us as novices but educated us into his breadth of skills and some further insights to his life story. Some of his early works...More
