Verbally abused by the captain of the ship as I dropped a ciggarette by my foot (I always have 2 and then pick them up and put them in the bin at the top of the stairs), i was in the middle of typing an...More
I arrived in a group of 5 with a 6th person due to come 15 minutes later. The cruise was due to leave in 5 minutes but as we were the only people for that cruise the staff were very accommodating and held the start...More
This is a lovely way to get out on the Yarra, get your bearings, and learn something about the history of Melbourne. We had a sunny day, and perfect conditions. Hamish is a laconic but informative guide - I'm still dredging up nuggets of information...More
My large family enjoyed a lovely boat cruise along the Yarra River onboard the MV Eureka. We were celebrating our fathers 80th birthday and the boat was a similar age. The river was busy on a Saturday morning with rowers, joggers, cyclists, fishing and helicopters.
Date of experience: September 2018

Enjoyable experience on “The Grower,” cruising from Southbank, first downriver towards Melbourne Docks, and then upriver towards the Botanical Gardens.

The ticket man was very inviting and friendly. The cruise was informative and so enjoyable. We took the full hour up and down the Yarra. The skipper gave a brief commentary but it was informative. It was lovely just to glide through the Yarra and...More
