My large family enjoyed a lovely boat cruise along the Yarra River onboard the MV Eureka. We were celebrating our fathers 80th birthday and the boat was a similar age. The river was busy on a Saturday morning with rowers, joggers, cyclists, fishing and helicopters.

Was able to sit on the open aft deck, so sunshine & a breeze.....Skipper gave brief commentary on the boat & a bit of history on the way back. The trip upriver would be better but Moomba activities precluded this, so one for next time....More

Having done river/canal cruises in Copenhagen/Stockholm, thought this would be good way so see Melbourne from the water and find out a bit more about the city. Excellent choice. Really enjoyed the trip on the Grower. The skipper gave us a wide range of info...More

Jumped on at Southgate and headed towards Docklands on MV Grower - a great little timber vessel with some history and class. Tip - don't stand up on the deck when passing under very low bridges - you could lose your head. After about 15-20...More
