On the way to the Carlton Gardens, just happened to be passing by and decided to drop into the State Library. The interior is surprisingly spacious and light. It contains many interesting paintings of Melbourne and Victoria. Definitely worth a 30 minute stop.

i do not see any reason to find how many books are there. just go there, you will not be disappointed. you will find your choice. Enjoy reading.Take help of excellent staff of library.
