Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been coming to this arcade for years and have a blast every time. On previous occasions I've come with friends and family of all ages, and they all report having fun. It's definitely worth loading your card with one of the pay $X, get $X for free options, as most games are $2.50 each, so if you only load $20 or $30 you run out very quickly. As it can be expensive, I don't visit often. It's definitely worth saving your points if you plan on coming back as the 'good' prizes start at around 2500-3000 points. Only negative is that the cafe is far too expensive - if you're looking for food there are cafes and McDonalds nearby.

Went with 10 year old son, on holiday from Perth. Worthwhile loading the more expensive $75 card, you get more free games (I think we got $100 worth games with the $75 card). I started initially with just $35, but son wanted his mum playing the shoot em up games with him. Like Halo. Can get expensive, card soon ran out.played favourites like air hockey and the ball games. Also he loved the virtual reality bunny game. He spent all his holiday money here, but it was the highlight of his holiday.

Visited Playtime a couple of weekends ago and enjoyed our short time there. Lots of great games available and they're all in great working condition. Close to the all of the entertainment of the Crown as well, so it's easy to add this on to your trip.

If you are into games it's a fun place to visit. Personally I found it noisy and chaotic. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with sensory issues.
We took 60 kids there and purchased game cards that lasted an hour. The cards worked for some games but not all. The kids loved it and were highly engaged. Small, expensive cafe on premises and a bunch of tacky prizes to collect with tickets earned.
Something for the kids to do at Crown.

Just visited this place with my 10 year old and we had a blast. They have games for all ages and plenty of “claw” games to try and win stuffed animals. In the middle there is a really dynamic virtual reality game which looked incredible. Skeeball, basketball, guitar hero, they really have it all here and a HUGE shop to redeem your tickets for merchandise.

Great place for a couple of hours of family entertainment (or however much your budget allows). The money side of things is easy to facilitate (buy a card and away you swipe) and bonuses thrown in (bought a $35 for $50 of game value). Games that younger children can play as well as games for the teens (and adult children!). The youngest child enjoyed spending her bonus tickets on a few lollies when we were done too.

Playtime has completed a refurbishment since last being here and it is a far better, brighter and safer experience.

Like most arcades, there is a huge range of games for all ages and skill levels. New and big, most games are around the $2 mark but there are a few more expensive games which offer bigger prizes or greater experiences (eg VR and Simulators).

If you have a couple of kids, go for the $35 card which gives you and extra $15 on top and will last a while.

Cards accumulate tickets to redeem in their gift shop. You need to spend a bit to get anything of real value.

Highly recommended place if you are in the Crown/Southbank precinct.
