This museum is a gem, hidden away but easily accessible- and free! Quite the historic tour, with some very interesting pieces.

The helpful staff alerted me to their regular free talks and put me on to Eventbrite for free tickets. I heard a variety of artists talk about their work in Re(v)Ference, a wonderful exhibition still on there.

It is my local library but enjoy the Allport museum show casing Hobart past. The displays change regularly so it is a good excuse to wander in and wonder whats on.

Little museum with "rooms" displaying antiquities from the Allport family dating back to 1700s. Full of charm. Free admission.
