We went to Salamanca Market on weekdays, there have mainly restaurants and some local shops to shop. You can go to visit if you have time on weekdays. Otherwise, it’s not a necessary spot to go in my opinion. Unless you are here on Saturday.

We always visit the markets when we travel from the mainland and enjoy the morning stroll through the many and varied stalls. Always buy some bits and pieces to take home to the family. Love the place and will return.

Lovely market - great spot. Worth the visit. Visited at the end of a week holiday in Tassie. Quite a few stalls selling locally made items and produce. Bought some beautiful local wine and gin.

Having so many stalls makes you wonder if you can see them all. Rest assured, there are quite a few that you will by-pass and ignore. Having said that, there are some where you could spend 'quite awhile' just admiring the craftsmanship of their products....More

I would allow around 4 hours to go through the market in total. You may wish to sample some of the foods and of course a good coffee!
