We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed Hobart. Lovely water front with plenty of bars and restaurants. Very friendly and welcoming staff..

Walking along this retro style pedestrianised street, was like being back in the 70's, it was nice and peaceful, to browse without the hassle and noise of traffic.

Main stream shops you would expect to see in any US or Sydney mall. Not really worth the walk around.

We were in the mall on a couple of occasions, little activity evident either in the mall or adjoining arcades, it was just devoid of atmosphere. Maybe 10.30am was too early. My wife was successful with a few purchases, I admired the sculptures of Fish out of Water, Maurice the Pig and Thompson the Dog. We were able to sit a while and enjoy the free WIFI.

As Malls go in larger cities and towns this one does not stack up well at all and even falls short of bigger malls in Brisbane and Adelaide that are not that pleasant. It mostly id dependent on the tenants but a basic design upgrade might drive away the tacky ones and encourage some class.

Its like most malls in the big cities, tacky. There are some nice shops, cafes etc but the overall feeling was "Tacky". There was lots of school kids, swearing and carrying on, some unsavory types lurking around. Mostly was people just going about there business. I didn't feel unsafe, just on guard. Unless you really need something from there, id stay away from it and stick to the tourist sites.

The Elizabeth Street Mall was clearly designed by those that have designed tacky Malls in Brisbane, Adelaide and other Australian cities with no imagination and all the usual players plus the mandatory cheap Chinese take-away places and a few others as well.It does have a Tourist Information Hub that does not open until January 18 when all the tourists have left so avoid thr Mall and head to the more interesting waterfront. Elizabeth Street was name after a Mrs L McQuarie and not the Queen,. Maybe it should have been called Liz Mall.

Went for a walk to the Elizabeth Street Mall hoping to find somewhere outdoors to have a coffee.
It was a very average Mall nothing fancy. We didn't find anywhere nice to sit outside and have a coffee so we left.

This is a small street mall with various shops and eateries. I was here mainly for the information counter that sells national park passes (for self-driving visitors, I recommend the Holiday Pass which cost $60 per vehicle for up to eight passengers and are valid for eight weeks).

If you are visiting the city centre then you cannot go past the mall without a visit. Good seating available with some interesting sculptures to see
