We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As I hadn't been to this square for a very long time, I was so glad to visit recently to think of William Light who surveyed and designed the city of Adelaide. The square is also called Wauwi, which was named after the wife of the chief of the traditional custodian Kaurna people.

A small square sometimes used by young people from nearby educational facilities to relax this square comprises a nice little green space with some statuary and a small water feature. There are some cheap eats nearby and the Hindley Street nightlife area is just a block away.

If you stay in the YHA you'll see this park on your way in/out of the place.

This is a very basic grass square one of number in Adelaide and named after Colonel William Light who designed the place and ended up being buried there. It could be so much better and old William deserved better. It was opened in 1833 and the poor guy went under ground in 1839. The pond was nice and the ducks that lived there and made a mess ,fat and happy.

Included in our Adelaide Highlights Tour and a short pause for some seated to obtain a photo. Nice square amid a busy road network with a memorial to Colonel Light, his favorite piece of equipment, a model of a surveyor's theodolite, mounted on top. Our guide advised the Colonel is the only person to be buried within the square mile of the city of Adelaide.

I love this small square with Colonel Light's Monument, where his ashes had been buried. On top of the monument a surveying equipment, that reminds us of his contribution to desining the city of Adelaide. It was very green and peaceful after the rain.

This is a lovely green square, or more some sort of "island" in the middle of the road.
The square is lovely for a 15 minute stroll or rest.

Kind of like the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania the city of Adelaide was designed with green space in mind. That included the squares. This one bears the designer's name. The statue of Catherine Helen Spence is a prominent landmark on Light Square.

Named after the surveyor (Light) who planned Adelaide. There is a memorial in the middle of the park where he is buried. Interesting read on the monument.

This nice little green space that is named after Col Light who designed the city. A nice area we came across during our walk around the city. Good place to break a walk and have a rest.

The recent rain made the square green and refreshing. It was during the lunch hour when I visited. Many people were hurrying on the diagonal footpath in the centre of the square, while a couple of people were seated in the bench.
