Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I always go on Parliament House tours where possible and South Australia's offering did not disappoint. It was a very relaxed affair: at each stop myself and the 2 other visitors on this particular 10am public tour were able to wander around the immediate vicinity and inspect whatever caught our eyes while asking the very helpful guide questions about the building and how SA politics works (all 3 of us visitors were from interstate). The highlight was undoubtedly the opulent Legislative Assembly chamber where you can sit in the Speaker's chair and also in the MP's seats (in my opinion the 2nd most elaborate legislative chamber in Australia after the VIC Legislative Council). Other stops included the Legislative Council (unusually austere for an upper house), the Library and various corridors with portraits of historical figures and photos from the building's history. Bonus points for permitting photography throughout the tour. Allow just over an hour for this free and fascinating visit.

On the corner of North Terrace and King William Road, your first impression of this historic grey building is lots of columns and steps. But it could just as easily have been protests and rallies. It’s a very popular place for them.

I visited South Australia's Parliament House with my Nanna while on a first time trip to Adelaide in August 2022. We got their just after they opened & were lucky enough to have a private tour, as the staff member wanted to take us through before the large school group that was following behind us. Our guide was very knowledgable & was happy to answer any questions. Adelaide's Parliament House was beautiful both inside & out. My favourite part was their small library. Parlament House conducts free tours for all visitors, with tours lasting about 1 hour.

Parliament House is an historic institution located in the North Terrace area of central Adelaide. We saw Question Time for both houses, the Assembly and the Council, which attracted on both occasions. The second time we were members of a group who toured the Old and New Houses of South Australian Parliament. The visit began in the Vestibule, which provided tight security. Historic Parliament House is an attractive building with easy access for locals and visitors..

I visited the Parliament of South Australia with my two children ages 7 and 8. We had a wonderful time where we enjoyed the stunning architecture and learning about the different houses and the interesting history of Parliament.

My son's most memorable moment was hearing about the speakers getting a maze to protect themselves because in Medieval times speakers were often beheaded for being the bearer of bad news.

We also got the opportunity to sit in at question time which was fascinating watching the way that the parties debated against each other.

Overall it was a great experience and will definitely take the children again when they get older so that they can continue to learn.

Parliament House is built of Kapunda Marble and West Island granite. It is fronted by majestic marble columns. Parliament House is the home of government for South Autralia. It can be inspected during sitting times, or you can book a free tour.

Parliamnt House is an impressive granite building on the corner of King Willaim and North Terrace and was first opened in 1889 with the west wing housing the House of Assembly and completed fifty years later in 1939 with the eastern sction. Not open when visited so no idea of what it is like internally but impressive outside

The Wanderers Rock & Roll Car Club were fortunate to be invited to visit and dine in Parliament House by Independent MP Frances Bedford. Frances is an honorary member of our club and we were thrilled to be her guests at this visit whilst Parliament was sitting. Frances was the perfect host in showing us the house and made the tour after dinner very informative and interesting. She later had the speaker of the house acknowledge our visit. All of our club members had a great time and would not hesitate in revisiting this marvelous building and contents.

Parliament House is centrally located on North Terrace next to the railway station and close to a number of other attractions. Do join the free tour to see the beautiful rooms, learn about the history of the building and SA's parliamentary system.
