We done this walk early in the morning to miss the heat in the afternoon. The views from the top are spectacular and was worth the hour walk to the top (would of been quicker if not for the two kids) we took some amazing...More

We loved the hike to Passage Peak and we did it at sunrise twice. The first time we just missed the beginning of the sunrise by a few minutes so we hiked it a second time. Hiking in the dark is a bit intense. Beautiful...More

A great way to check out the surrounding islands and down towards Catseye Beach. The walk to the 190 metre high Passage Peak is well worth the effort. You need to be in reasonable fitness although it's not a race so take ya time and...More

This is definitely a must do while on Hamilton Island - the walk is challenging in parts but there are flat sections where you can recover and the stairs also help. The view of the Whitsunday Islands from the top is superb and well worth...More

We hiked up to Passage Peak and then to Escape beach. The last 100 meters of Passage Peak are quite steep but worth it if you can handle it! The view of the surrounding islands is incredible. The hike to Escape beach from there wasn't...More

Started our ascent about an hour before sunset, and what a treat we had. Gets pretty steep at the end but you get a wonderful panoramic view

The views from Passage Peak are amazing, but also try the other hikes. It gives you access to some secluded beaches and beautiful scenery. Passage Peak can be difficult for those who aren't used to the exercise, but the views are definitely worth it!

Walk to the end of the beach where the track starts and go from there. Depending on where you leave from only adds around 1km if easy walking to the track

If you are really fit and prepared for a steep stepped track at the end then it’s possible. I don’t think this 44 year unfit mummy could but if you want to and are fit it’s no harm setting off and having a go!
