A lovely walk which is very steep in parts but well worth the effort as the outlook from the top over Hamilton and the surrounding islands is stunning. Take water and enter from the eastern end of Catseye Beach (we mistakenly took the trail from...More

The Passage Peak climb is definitely a massive challenge that requires a half decent fitness level to tackle... The climb is steep, lots and lots and lots of stairs but just when you think you have had enough you reach the top and the absolutely...More

Steep climb, lots of sweating, many of those "I'm pretty sure I can't go any further" moments. But we persisted, and were rewarded with an amazing sunset! The trip back down, in the dark, was a little creepy with lots of forest animal noises and...More

Not for the unfit, this walk was a great exercise. Didn't take us too far from resort central as the crow flies, but it takes time to climb so steeply. The reward is the incredible views and photo opportunities of Hamilton and surrounding islands. Take...More

We done this walk early in the morning to miss the heat in the afternoon. The views from the top are spectacular and was worth the hour walk to the top (would of been quicker if not for the two kids) we took some amazing...More

We loved the hike to Passage Peak and we did it at sunrise twice. The first time we just missed the beginning of the sunrise by a few minutes so we hiked it a second time. Hiking in the dark is a bit intense. Beautiful...More

Walk to the end of the beach where the track starts and go from there. Depending on where you leave from only adds around 1km if easy walking to the track

If you are really fit and prepared for a steep stepped track at the end then it’s possible. I don’t think this 44 year unfit mummy could but if you want to and are fit it’s no harm setting off and having a go!
