Worth the climb for the views. Takes about an hour to walk it and back. Wear trail shoes, take water and see the sunrise.

My Husband and I have done this walk many times and it never disappoints with great views once you've made it. Yes, it is a challenging walk and I'd advise that it be done early or later in the day as when it is hot...More

Hamilton Island is full of amazing walks though most seem to take on the peak simply because it’s the peak! We did it before su rise and it was packed at the top to all watch the sunrise. Final 200m is steps and if you...More

This is a great walk, not for the feint hearted as there are some serious steps to the final peak but the effort is so worth it. Views are incredible. I would not do this in the heat of the day, early morning is good....More

We did lots of walks all over the island but this was the best. You need to have a fairly good level of fitness (or be prepared to stop regularly). The last 900m is a killer if steps aren't your thing. Well worth the view...More

It is a big climb with a lot of steps, but absolutely worth the walk. Take plenty of water and wear goo shoes. View is spectacular.

Walk to the end of the beach where the track starts and go from there. Depending on where you leave from only adds around 1km if easy walking to the track

I think it took us an hour to get up there. We are young 30's, hubby is in better shape than me. There was definitely some sweating (a lot of sweating) and a few "we did this to us" moments. Some parts are steep and it was... More

If you are really fit and prepared for a steep stepped track at the end then it’s possible. I don’t think this 44 year unfit mummy could but if you want to and are fit it’s no harm setting off and having a go!
