Even this trip we were in the middle of the Queensland and NSW schoolies the main beach at Surfers Paradise still is the safest beach to visit with younger children.

Surfer's Paradies reminded me of Venice Beach without the weird people. We were there in the evening and there are small vendors set up in a marketplace at night selling some normal and some weird stuff. Lots of restaurants in the area.
