I parked in chevron Renaissance and upon leaving tried to use contactless as it is all I use and have been using since covid. the parking woman I spoke to said that the car park does not allow contactless payment and never has. I am a local and have lived in surfers for nearly 10 years so I know that this is not true. she proceeded to tell me that I would not be allowed out until paying the due amount even after I told her I had my child in the car and my partner was not finishing work until 6pm. keep in mind that it was 11am when I was trying to leave. a passerby heard the way I was being spoken to and offered to pay over the phone for me which I was truly grateful for. I inserted my ticket into the machine to get the amount so I knew how much I had to pay. $16.60. when I was put through to payment the same woman refused the amount of $16.60 and told me that I had to pay $21. even though I was looking at the price on the parking machine? not once did I see a sign to say that contactless payment was not being accepted. I won’t be parking here again.

Overall a good selection of shops and eateries throughout the centre. However if you are going to Coles, either of the hairdressers, the Newsagents or any shops in the Coles area you will come away stinking of stale cooking oil.
I called in on Wednesday to buy a few items from Coles. For the rest of the day my clothes stank of stale putrid cooking oil, a smell I carried with me until I reached home and even my wife insisted I changed and showered!
The centre management need to get this unpleasant experience sorted out.
I don't know where the smell is from. Maybe the food outlets within proximity of Coles need inspecting under the Health & Safety Regs in relation to extractor fans for food fryers.
A totally unpleasant shopping experience.

Hi Explore24939413052, Thank you for your review and feedback. This smell in the mall is an that we are trying to work with the tenant to address as extraction wasn't originally required but Council authorities. Thanks again for taking the time to message us and we hope to have this resolved as soon as possible, to create a more pleasant shopping experience for our customers. Chevron Renaissance

Mainly eateries, with the occasional hair and beauty or massage establishment.
Infinity, venue for children, is in this arcade.
Coles supermarket is at the end.
Interestingly, no vacant shops, in this economy.....

A stroll through the Chevron Renaissance was always a nice diversion when visiting the unrealisitic retail wonderland of Surfers Paradise.

Wifey loves it too, with all those clothing stores of course she does. Like any good husband I'm a patient soul who has over the years perfected the quiet and repectful art of 'waiting'..

'Waiting' outside the many clothing stores at Chevron Renaissance was always nice though and never stressful because there was a lovely fountain to gaze upon and (sometimes) stick a digit or two into..

Southing to the soul no doubt and it's this kind of water splashing installation hat helps a man forget about the sport he is missing on the hotel big screen or the cold beer that awaits him in the pool bar.

Not any more... following the anti - fountain trend that has changed the Gold Coast - it's gone!

Replaced by....wait for it....... fake grass in the fountain's circular brick frame to house a face painter.

Wow, now that's a step ahead... Especially in summer too, the kids look a treat as their new facial doo starts running down their dials leaving them looking like extras from Dracula's Restaurant!

At least I know now to bring my own fountain next time I'm twiddling my thumbs outside a ladies clothing bazaar at the Chevron Renaissance.

Conveniently there's a Coles on site and I'm sure they sell bottles of Diet Coke and packets of Mentos..

Whooska!

I live in surfers paradise and usually go out of the area to do my food and grocery shopping but today I thought I would go to the local Coles in Surfers. While I was upstairs shopping my car was vandalized in the supposedly secure car park there under Chevron Renaissance. When I reported it to the car parking attendant he shrugged it off. Now I have reported it to the police and my car insurance company to follow up. I will never make the mistake of shopping there again

The most unintelligent, rude, abrupt, unhelpful, sarcastic and incompetent bunch of clowns I've ever come across! AVOID this place at ALL costs, don't let these BULLIES take any of your money. They'll REFUSE your cash and then hold you at ransom indefinitely, and then charge you a fortune through your credit card for the “privilege”, totally illegal and deeply unAUSTRALIAN!

Love the feel of the area. fantastic for people staying at the Cheveron Renaissance to eat out or get groceries. Love the full sized Coles Supermarket here. How fantastic to have this Coles store and a Woolworths within 100 m. You could get any groceries that you liked. Easy walk from our central Surfers accomodation.

The shopping underneath the building has quite a variety of stores however most of them were too expensive. A haircut and tips for my son with short hair and for me shoulder length for a hair cut from one hairdressers was $240. Needless to say we did not go in. There are a few clothing stores that you would buy from if you were living on easy street and most of the other shops were the same. When you leave that area at the top of the arcade you have a fabulous Supre store on the corner of the main road that is very cheap. T-Shirts and singlets $2 dresses $10 etc. The Coles supermarket is allot cheaper though than the Woolworths store underneath Circle On Cavill

It's a nicely done up shopping centre. Infinity is here, and I will remember it for the Coles supermarket and NewsXpress Surfers Paradise where I returned and received refunds for all our Go cards.
