The staff at the Green Island cruise was real careless one and found it unhygienic as well. The lunch buffet was bad and wasn’t served properly. Too much of up selling was happening as the cruise started instead of letting us enjoy it.
Green island is of course quite green. It is great way to spend a day with very affordable tour packages. You can snorkel here. You may need to rent wet suit and life jacket (if you need). However it is not a place to coral...More
Green Island is beautiful and I’m not giving 3/5 bullets because I didn’t like it. I only think that too many tourists are allowed at a time and it’s not good for the preservation of the habitat especially with no rules or, better, with rules...More
Went to Green island on a catamaran which was rough not a smooth crossing. The glass bottom boat was amazing saw a turtle and different fishes on the reefs. The guide was very good and all the crew were helpful. If it's rough take the...More
What a great way to spend the day !!
Tropical rains downpour in cairns, however the boat still travels to the island .
On approach to the island no sign of rain and in view a beautiful island offset to the coral sea !!
Worth visiting and experience the glass boat ride. The boat ride to the island was interesting and we had food included which was nice, but cannot get more after the first time as got very crowded so get all the food you want the first...More

I was there in December, we did snorkel off of a boat and off the beach. When we did it off the boat, Jellyfish were everywhere, I called it snorkeling with the Jellyfish because we didn't see much fish. After we got back on the island we snorkeled from the beach. Most of the people that were snorkeling from the beach did not have stinger suits on and there are no nets, and we only saw a couple of Jellyfish but we did keep ours on after seeing them everywhere just 1 mile off the beach. I guess most people didn't wear the stinger suits because the Jellyfish there were low level stingers meaning there stings were not painful at all. I got stung on my chin and face where the hood didn't cover. It only hurt for a few minutes, it felt like someone poked me with a needle. The Jellyfish do was up on the beach, we walked around the island on the beach and we had to watch were we stepped because they were on the beach.

If you go to Green Island - around the old underwater observatory (beach side) at the jetty you will see 'Nemo'. There is a lot of coral, fish and rays. Green Island also has the largest Crocodile in captivity. Feeding shows are twice daily and the Crocodile farm is worth a visit. We did it all outer-reef, Green and Fitzroy Island all trips were great!
