It's incredible how many species of mature trees this garden has from around the world. The folks who created/planted this place long ago really knew what they were doing.

Spent a very enjoyable day at the Cairns Botanic Garden, wonderful plantings, lots of different areas to explore, interesting wildlife. Good cafe and information centre.

A great place to relax and explore with so... many tropical plants. We learnt a lot about the tiny native Australian Bees and spent a long time in the "orchid house" enjoying the wonderful display of beautiful flowers.

This is a wonderful day trip to a location that is peaceful and full of "oohs and ahhs " The people that look after this place must be so dedicated and caring for the area saw many butterflies and birds..Definitely worth a repeat visit

You can ride to it, & walk up the red arrow (hill) but not in the actual gardens.
