You get a sense of a city's history by visiting its churches. I am catholic so used this to visit for religious reasons but its worth a visit on a hot day to contemplate the architecture.

Gorgeous placed to go if you are into your religion and/or archetechture. The stained glass is wonderful and plenty of electric fans inside to keep you cool.

I love visiting old churches while traveling and spent some time in this beautiful church and in the surrounding property. There are volunteers there who can give tours or you can

I attended mass in this beautiful cathedral. It was not filled with statues and great gilding but it's simplicity was beautiful and truly a wonderful site to behold!

I just happen to walk up on the church about 25 mins before Mass. All doors were open I just walked around the side to look and walked in the back of the church just to look fast.

The historic chapel was completed in 1850. The cathedral itself opened in 1874 and is a lovely bright well maintained building. Mary Mackillop worshipped here. It has beautiful stained glass windows and carved wood work.
