The Brisbane River is perfect for adventure, leisure and recreation. Go kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or take a trip on a City Cat. Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. Try Story Bridge Adventure climb, cycle, rollerblade or go for a jog. Dance with the local aboriginal tribe, Mirrabooka or visit South Bank. However you look at it you can't visit Brisbane without experiencing the River. Then cruise out to Tangalooma Island Resort for a must do experience. Enjoy!

Brisbane river is full of activities in the evening. People seem to be enjoying their time jogging or other physical exercises. Kids love having fun. Brisbane river bridge can be best captured on camera from garden adjoining.

Around near the story bridge you can cross the river on the city hopper for free. If you want a faster ride, take the city car which needs a go-card and it goes further up and down the river, all the way up to St...More

Was amazed at how big, long and bendy the river is. South Bank is amazing and all along the river you can hop off and take in restaurants, bars, cafe's and parks with interesting art.

To me it is the main artery of the Brisbane Body. Brisbane has made the most of the River and with the Cats and Hopper it is a pleasant experience to travel from one end to the other.

It’s free for the ride along the river and view the city landscape. It is slow and only you have time to spare. Refreshing and relaxing way to enjoy the 1.5 hour.
